Double Dutch Outdoor

Looks like we might be growing this oudoors in the next season. It will not be my grow, but I am helping with planning and set up and so on.

The grower is looking for a high yielding plant with high potency and a nice taste/smell for outdoor. (It will be in Australia). The choice of Double Dutch was made by me because he only wants to grow 3 plants, and so we need a reliable seedline which is available in the fem form, and DD was a clear contender becuse of its high yield among other desireable characteristics.

I would appreciate some advice on this one, and in particular if it had been done outdoor. I know DD won a 3rd place Highlife cup for outdoor, but not sure where that was grown (Netherlands?).

The grow will be in the ground, large holes (up to 200L) filled with compost, worm castings, perlite and some manure.

If all goes to plan, these will be started soon enough and I will update the thread with progress.

All input and advice is welcome.

Ez

Hola Erza! Good choice for an outdoor grow-- I grew the winning Double Dutch entry that was entered under Magus Genetics. She was grown at 42 degrees N.

Very easy to grow with no problems with mold. And what I did was I grew the Double Dutches directly on top of sacks of mushroom compost. This fed them for most of the grow season. Although I did end up supplementing towards the end of the growth cycle. I wanted to grow stealth so I trained my gals with wire fencing and grew them close to the ground-- this made for lots of large colas.

There was not an overly amount of rain that year.

I think you will have trouble with mold if you try anywhere north of Port Maquarie. South of that you should be fine. Unless your in the west. Different type of heat there. Dunno how far north you could go.
Good thing about the net is you can search weather history.
DD is a good choice Just depends where

Thanks guys for some advice. It will be grown at about 43S lattitude. I am not too worried about mold if its finished by mid to late April. The summer here is intense and so dry, but the autmn can be unpredictable, I like to harvest by mid April due to storms and even hail which occurs at that time.

Mosca, when were yours done?

Well it looks like we might have some outdoor Warlock monsters this season. I have been slowly vegging these Warlocks in my cab under a 130w cfl, and now it looks like I might be able to give them a better life outdoors. Some new things are opening up for me this season.
