wally i once read where you used a version of cali-o from nirvana .
and you said that you thought they where from a rework version.

i made some seeds from a pack from the older more sativa ,xmas tree looking
pheno ,smelled like orange being peeled .it was the best smelling strain i have smelled besides c99. but it is a indaca tree with a sativa high.it was frosty as hell .from 2002 -03 .i am hoping to do a run with your c99x grapefruit . if i find a good male or female out of the nirvana cali-o ,should i cross it to your c99xgapfruit..



and ps do you have pictures of your cali-o you used in the cross.

Hey dan ,, yep sounds like the one i got back around that time also , i mentioned in another thread it was almost like the next one i got was mislabelled , though it did have a slight orange tang ,, not like the sativa one u describe .. i really enjoyed that stuff ...
ill try to find some pics of her , though i dont think i managed to get the best ones ... i posted the cross pix with c99 in another thread , ill pop them here again if i can find ... youll see some pics from abby normal , he also grew the cross ,, came out very nice ...
ok first up is the calio i got in 2002 ,, not typical growth as it was a clone grown outdoors in winter ,, never mind the label on the pic ,, its wrong ....






and second is the more recent version ,, youll notice quite a difference ..

man that top picture looks good .thanks for the reply i thought i read wher you liked the older version of the nirvana cali-o the more sativa leaning mix. remember making f2s and the ris a pheno in the mix that is just that from some older stock and i made thes seeds years ago and have a bag in the fridge .i took one out and it is doing fine for such a long time in the freezer i am just hoping i will have some time to do some surching i have so many things to grow like your c99x grapefruit. but i might just add a cali-o to the mix like 2-3 plants just to ee what i can find.


why i like this pheno so much is it smells like oranges being peeled and it would be perfect to have around xmas time where i live all i would have to do is have a few oranges in my pocket around Christmas holidays. and no one would tell the difference from the smell .and to turn some friends on they would love it . just peel a orange while i rolled a joint. my brother loved this one pheno its not devestating in the high department but its got a good sativa high that is very enjoyable for some who cant
smoke the more powerful stuff and it does get you into the holiday spirit . i am going to search for that one pheno and try to isolate it and its what you and i think it is if you would like to have it . would it be alright to pm you and talk further.
