When I was in my early teens apparently I was a bit of a handful at school....I was quick to learn at the British boarding school which I attended from just 8 years of age until I was 12 and I was actually getting some of the best grades for my age in the school.....but then I had to leave because I refused a hydro-cortisone injection for child rheumatism in my leg (I had been injected before and it was such a frightening and painful memory) and ran away from the school because they had tried to force this upon me.....so I was a runaway boy......and they said that I was maladjusted because I always questioned authority and resisted when authority wanted to do anything with me.

I was hyperactive and became very anti-establishment as I learned more about my society as it was in the 70's. In 1972 I was placed in a 'comprehensive' school in the 2nd year of senior school and was completely bored by it because the standard of education was so much higher at the boarding school I had left, so for 2 years I knew most all of what the teachers were teaching in the comprehensive school and this bored me even more......It bored me to distraction....and I withdrew into my own world of learning what I was interested in........

They sent me to see a shrink after the ring leader of the schools bullies set upon me and I promptly put him thru the cleaning cupboard door in defense and I was suspended from school....This shrink talked down to me like a child and prescribed some psychotropic medicines that gave me adverse side effects, which made me sick......

Eventually after having to take these laboratory produced psychotropic chemicals for a few months I threw them all away..........but I was still hyper untill my brother shared that first hash joint with me.......and this calmed me down and put it all into perspective. I had found my medicine...... To this day nearly 30 years later I still use cannabis medicinally to control hyperactivity and also to mask the pain in my lower back more recently....

...I have been involved in the cannabis industry since I was 17 years old on a commercial basis and started growing at 18 years old in California....By the time I was in my twenties I started collecting cannabis seeds in Asia, then at 25 years old I was caught smuggling just a little of my own medicine into England from Holland and jailed for a month because I refused to pay a fine or do community service for what I considered to be a victimless crime. In the old Victorian jail in Norwich I was attacked by some football hooligans and eventually ended up in the psycho ward, because I had never had my freedom taken away from me before and found it very difficult to console the fact that I had really not done anything wrong, but was still jailed.....This whole episode just pissed me off and made me determined to try and make a change for the better concerning the draconian cannabis laws.......

In two weeks I will have a copy of the charter edition of 'International Cannagraphic' in my hands....this is a magazine that I have spent 3 years bringing together. This will be a platform for all in the cannabis industry worldwide to network and gain knowledge about cannabis. I hope for it to become the cannabis industries International trade magazine........and it will be a place where we can have our say in the media.

....so if you ask me how important cannabis is in my life.....I would say VERY!

Hi Gypsy and everyone...

Hi Gypsy and everyone...

I knew this was coming but didn't want to bother anyone with questions. You guys must have been so swamped lately.

Gypsy, I was a bit like you as a kid in school. They call us "behavior problems" but we are the type that are a bit too smart for some of the authorities to encourage. We saw things that were wrong and we said so.

Often kids get labled bad and then they have to work twice as hard to get the chance to contribute. Maybe everything happens for a reason and we know the reason for this site. :)

To freely promote the growing of marijuana which has been as villianized as much lately as free thinkers are in school.

This site is the future and I am happy to be a part of it. My upcoming article, "Goodnews for Cannabis Lovers" is in the first issue of Gypsy's printed magazine and I wish to thank you for letting me contribute to the outcome we all seek. The legalization of the cultivation of marijuana for ones own use. :) BOG
