Maryland Peeps Time For Some Changes.

This is my first post here. I have decided to take a more vocal approach in the Maryland scene. State Politicians getting hired by Cannabis Corporations, Labs falsifying test (months and months of strains over 30% THCa, trying to get the growers business. Then none testing that high as soon as people started publicly questioning the results .) Dispensaries overcharging etc etc.

My sister was the vice president of Mom's For Marijuana for 12 years and then started the Woman's Cannabis Coalition that now has more that 77 chapters in seven countries. She sat on the Maryland Medical Board and spoke before the state senate. She has helped start multiple dispensaries in a few counties. The whole time she was fighting the fight I hid in my house with a basement grow. Friends couldn't come over, I was always paranoid. I supplied a lot of medicine to people who needed it, but it definitely came at a cost to my social life. She has been fighting to end the prohibition of Cannabis as long as I can remember and now I want to do my part!

I am done. I want to step up and help educate myself and the Maryland scene about what is going on and what we can do as a community to make it better. I know there are a ton of Maryland people here lets spread some love and some news.

agreed. im checking in here regularly. thoroughly amused by the thc counts from every single dispensary product i've seen. utterly dry to the bone, harsh flower. overpriced rso, "premium" concentrates...locals were shocked at the difference when we came back to town with fresh flower.

we were throwing around the idea of a small batch farmers market under the radar a while ago. my gromey and i are down for whatever moves us forward.

Yeah a DL farmers market might be good. Was also thinking of setting up an anonymous group along the lines of “Maryland Home Growers For companionate care” to provide low cost or no cost flower/rso/rosin/tinctureto sick and low income folks. Kind of do a 2 for, raise awareness of the lack of homegrow/locally-owned-small-business rights in the state AND the failure of industry/MMCC/the Gov. etc. to get their own BS*compationate care programen it’s feet affluent more than 18 mos. *(only vets and people on Maryland health insurance may apply if it is ever funded).

Is this the same state that has Baltimore? I'd say, good luck. Pretty place once you get away from any of the cities.

Maryland will not be going recreational any time soon, that's for sure. They have legal sports gambling coming in 2021, that will be enough to keep our legislators busy for a few years.

I’d be so down with something like this! Also, any type of system where no real-world money is involved would be (in theory) a lot easier to run on the DL.

The cryptocurrency and smart contract future can’t come fast enough.
