how could you id a polyploid?

how might someone identify if a plant is a polyploid?

separately, whats the most amount of branches someones seen off a single node? (I.e. when a plant shoots out 3 instead of 2)

Without genetic testing in a laboratory it's most likely impossible.

Troutmans right only a lab would know for sure cause you gotta do dna testing. They are supposed to look like mutants with some even forming bud sites on fan leaves and all kinds of crazy stuff. Supposedly you can make them by treating with something called colchicine but I don't know much and have only briefly looked this subject up. Some think they can disguise their plants by doing this and that's why they try. No matter how weird it looks the buds/smell would be identifiable still so it'd be a moot point imho.
