Grow Of the Season Nominations - Winter 2012/2013

Welcome to the Grow Of the Season Contest!

From now on, users will have the possibility of submitting a nomination for the Grow Of the Season Contest.

Here are the Factors/Criteria to consider when submitting your nomination!

-You will have to provide a reason for the given nomination as well as a link to the report/journal.
-It must be a grow completed within the Season.
-It should be well documented with photos from each stage of growth.
-Harvested pics should be included - doesn't need to be cured.

Other factors to consider:

The quality of the information in the report.

  • The frequency and presentation of updates (weekly updates?).
  • The quality of multimedia (photos/video) macros etc.
  • The design setup explained, DIY details can make for a really great thread.
  • Unique setup and design.
  • The amount of interest in the grow.
  • Strain review.
  • Smoke report.
  • Replying to all questions on the thread.
  • The end result, quality of the harvest.


These are the criteria to be used to judge a grow journal. So it's NOT JUST THE END RESULT, nor is it based solely upon how the plants look, how big they are, how well they smoke.It's about how well the grower did documenting the grow and other factors like innovation or responding to questions.

This thread will stay open until the end of February. At that time, administrators and moderators will pick the final entries in order to start a Poll where users can vote for their favourite grow!

nice idea hasi, i have several threads in mind, the problem is that i jsut really like them, and they arent really "shinning examples" just my favs...
if nothing else this contest has made me dig deeper into the universe that is ICmag forums.
im very suprised no one has posted any nominations yet, honestly i was hoping to see what others were nominating before i threw one into the mix...

Once I add another 1000watter its gonna be off the hook.
Either 70 plants in 3g pots or 120 plants in 2g pots.

the most easiest way to help yourself on how to make a decision is to check the above posted Factors/Criteria
as well as to go back and check the previous contests..
It's not easy to pick one out of the plethora of awesome journals/reports that you can find on ICMag.

Howdy folks! It's 2013 already, and the world did not end... :)

Now I am preparing yet another ICeMagazine ~ IC4 is in the works with stories being written and edited, photos being selected and polished, and I thought to remind you that the winner gets featured in ICMag's next edition...as we have done in IC3.

As well as the aforementioned prizes... considering the great sales they have going on gear at the Bay and the Boo that $100 would grow a nice garden ;)

Anyway... hope we can get about four to choose from by end of January so we can get the votes in on time...

Reason: Very high-tech hydro grow, lots of GREAT pics and details on plants, the room build and equipment inside.

The only downside of this thread is there are not many pics of harvested/dried buds, but they may come till the voting thread is up and running. Someone tell gettogro to work on that! :joint:
