Colas don’t seemed to be tight

So I’ve been battling some sort of pest for awhile. I initially thought it was RAs and quite possibly could be. So after cleaning cleaning and more cleaning I decided to start a run. Now that I’m near the end of my run I’m thinking that I didn’t solve the problem.

I’ve grown gg4 numerous times and normally the top colas are fat nice and tight. Well this time around they are fat look good but not tight at all. It’s like buds never tighten up with each other. Here are some pics any advice? Am I over thinking this. My last run was horrible.

I've had less than tight buds when temps are too high.

Any difference in temps or airflow this time? Are buds close to light this time?

Just this guy, ya know?
I don't know, but do you know temperature/humidity? From my understanding if the bud is airy/dense is mostly genetic, but too high temperatures can also cause airy buds?

Thanks for the replies. Yes temp is 72ish. Good air flow. Plants eat regularly. No weak branches. No real sign of deficiency.

Did the pics look like something was off? Am I over thinking it

I don't know, I've only grown GG ilke 4 times now, but all the times I had very dense nice nugs. I'm not sure how to tell by looking, but by feel the GG was obviously denser than the plants growing next to it. It looks okay on my end, but I can only really tell by feel.

Appreciate the input. I just don’t know what else to do. I cleaned everything. Used preventatives and now gonna just keep my fingers crossed

Couldnt get your link but genetics and air temp is everything. Get ur spot as cold as u can thatll tighten up your flowers and a flower hardner for the finish. Genetics tho is the answer to your problems

RAs love potato. An inch thick slice on top of the soil will have RAs all over the underside in 5 days. Pick it up and just watch for the movement for half a minute. ;)

The effects of RAs on the roots can definitely affect nutrient uptake and flower formation. This would be my first guess.

Hey DC. Did that and seen nothing moving. That’s why I’m perplexed

They look fine, GG tends to have those spaces beneath the fan leaf petioles.
You could cut back on the nitrogen (CalMag) a bit sooner, it tends to bring out the veg in plants and diminish full flowering response. Your bud will smell and taste much better...
