nails and tomato baskets

old iron tomato baskets that you plant into the soil..... those actually add iron to your soil, thus their benefit to tomatoes aside from merely holding them up.

people who get stuck with green tomatoes, and can't get them to turn red... old timers know that you throw a couple of old iron nails into your compost and garden.... and you will have red tomatoes, same thing molasses does, it adds iron in a naturally released dosage, and the root portions that actually touch the iron, get the same sort of benefits as cooking on an iron skillet.
