Super Cheap Mass Cloner

Bumping this great/old thread to see if anyone has had issues with wilting using this system, and to link to my infirmary thread regarding the same at:

I'm suspecting it may relate to my running an airline with bubble stone into the res. Was using the wallmart ice-tube deal for many years any only rarely had any wilt.

Vermiculite for cloning is superior to perlite for exactly the reason you point out.....

Thanks rope. It did work for me and at the small scale I needed. I do like the ease of add/remove in the mass approach. Wonder if using vermiculite rather than perlite, or a mix, might help?

I rerouted the air line and will be checking shortly. I guess it make sense that if moisture is at a premium running relatively dry air up through the media will not help.
