Just found*local living soil and I'm looking togo with an automated watering system for a notill/covercrop. Leave comments if you wish. Please only vote if you've tried or saw first hand methods.

You might check out Blumat watering carrots.
They're pricey but they work well once tuned in and can be used passively.

Yup bulmats and watch the salt based ferts or any other chelation buildup
