Bassett hounds are an amazing breed of dog. Be careful around water as they don't swim. They will sink immediately!
This is Philo Betto, named after Clint Eastwood and his character in, Any which way you can. Philo is half Bassett and half Pitbull. He's 70lbs of pure love. He loves everyone and everything. He is 13 and we cherish our time with him immensely.

never owned one, known several. great dogs, never seen one aggressive to people, other dogs, nor even cats. they CAN be dangerous to cat food & whatever they find in the yard that they might think could be edible...or you could trip over them, very dangerous animals, lol...
