thats a PROFESSIONAL politician...
I wouldn't worry too much about her being a viable prez candidate.
but if she got more votes than copies of her book have sold
she might be giving Joe Biden the willies :D

What Hillary knows & what Obama & Holder have known all along is that CO legalization will be permanent, irreversible, & highly contagious, barring some extreme twist of fate. By the time 2017 rolls around, we'll have 4 years of legalization & 3 years of retail sales along with enormous documentation revealing legalization as vastly superior public policy. Coloradans obviously believed that to be true when we passed A64.

Prohibitionists can't rave about what might happen, because everybody & their dog will already know what does happen. They won't be able to rave against their own straw men.

Or they could have given us the Romney, filed suit, asserted the supremacy of federal law & cock-blocked retail before it started. They'd win that suit, every time.

The whole "Me too! Me too!" routine from HOR Repubs wrt MMJ can easily backfire on them as well. Obama can claim that their new law demands executive reclassification of cannabis. It's an obvious contradiction he can remove in accordance with the will of congress. They called for MMJ to be protected under federal law, and he may just give it to them- so far up the ass that they'll never get it out.

That seems highly likely, given the way he's played their own rhetoric against them so far.

Figure out who our friends are in this fight, guys. Anybody who asserts states rights & experiments in democracy is trying to fool our opponents, not us.

Too bad she isn't a supporter of the middle class or the poor.Just because she says something, doesn't mean she won't turn as soon as elected.

I'm all for legalization, but electing her would be a huge mistake.Bernie Sanders on the other hand is a far better candidate.

I'd rather have a case of herpes than Hillary for president.

I'd like to continue to vote Democrat, but it sure is getting harder to find one.

Electing another Clinton to the office of President would be a MASSIVE mistake.

Some of You need to separate Yourselves from a deep hatred of women, obviously. I hear a lot of that on this thread, and at truck stops.

It's not hatred of women..at least for most of us.It is the realization that ego-tripping, self serving, power mongers know no sex boundary.

Surely expressions of loathing and disdain for Adolph Hitler are actually expressions of loathing and disdain for the entire male gender.

Actually. No, they're not.

That would be fucking stupid to believe.

How does that fit with the reality that Federal power has been relinquished to CO & WA wrt marijuana legalization? How is giving up power defined as power mongering?

Hillary certainly voiced no objection to that in the reference article on page 1.

It's one of those things that requires some self awareness. If I didn't want to be mistaken for a racist, I'd avoid using racist terminology. The same thing applies to being mistaken for a fascist, misogynist or homophobe.

I try not to encourage false impressions with poor choice of words.

You're absolutely right, it DOES require some self awareness.

The self awareness to realize when one is reading too much into shit, OR the self awareness to realize that instead of achieving some bullshit "moral high ground", one is actually being a giant douchebag.

Two years from now, CO will have provided all the evidence any reasonable person would need to support legalization. I think Hillary believes that as much as I do.

Or we could have had Mitt breaking our balls, never allowing the opportunity we've needed for decades.

Figure it out, or just hate-um anyway. I figure we need all the open minded politicians we can find & all the help we can get.

Which is not to say I'm any great fan of Hillary, but we'll need a new Prez in a couple of years & the realistic alternatives certainly seem worse.

Well, first of all Romney isn't running for 2016.

It appears to me that both Reps and Dems are waking up to the wave of legalization and properly shifting their positions as politicians are known to do.

thats the difference between us.
not only will you'll trade off your country's to not look over your
your shoulder for cannabis and let
*anyone that gives you a blessing to grow pot* regardless if they have no qualifications to run this nation.
look at the state this nation is in after 6yrs of fundamental change with someone whoose best qualification for anything
is community organizing.

Six years of "fundamental change"? You must have been born in '08. If not, you certainly didn't start paying attention before '09.

My god, the arrogance combined with the hysterical partisan hyperbole and no, I'm not and have never been a Democrat.

I was merely speaking in generalities, having to do with the subject of the "hatred of women meme".I wasn't referring to the states rights issue...but she did make an interesting statement about "states are the laboratories of democracy".She evidently has handlers who have the pulse of America...and are able to explain that to her.

"Hillary certainly voiced no objection to that in the reference article on page 1."

No she didn't..(I suppose) but out of one side of her mouth she makes the statement “in extreme medical conditions",and then out of the other side of her mouth she suggests that she "was open to seeing recreational use legalized". Typical political double speak...sad that she doesn't have anything refreshing (or honest) to say about the topic.

I have watched for decades how our politicians operate under the constitution,it's only human nature some want to "bend" those rules a little bit to get around it to get their way
and sugar coating the reasons why.
I have also noticed as time has passed the "bending" has become less and more akin to getting their way with a chainsaw and less sugar coating dialogue.
since 9/11 this process has dramatically morphed into the chain saw as the norm to start with under bush using the war on terror as the reason, the patriot act with the NSA at the helm is a prime example, and obama and dems were outraged as they should have been along with the american people.

when obama came to power and stated his fundamental change I am seeing the dismantling of this nation in short order brick by brick in a mere 6years and this president is now openly saying the constitution is outdated and only in the way
and like it or not "i have a pen and a phone......"
executive order is the preferred way of this administration.

and here is where both parties are the same to a degree.
now the dems have the patriot act/NSA under THEY'RE control with all that the great spyware to monitor our every transaction, computed email and phone call of the american citizens and their political rivals.
And we ARE seeing the use of the IRS to target political rivals and the power od all these agencies this admin has and IS using in a criminal fashion by an adminstration that is hardcore SOCIALIST.
history shows this in itself is dangerous beyond what you can fathom i'm sure kiddo.

but, where's the outrage now from the dems now the patriot/nsa spying apparatus is under their control?
outrage now its from the rep's and again, rightly so..... very predictable.
they are both the same.
our system of govt is broken by the actions of 2 extremely dysfunctional political parties that only want POWER.
it's not govt that needs fixing, it's the people who run it.

in the last 6yrs if you haven't seen how fast and to what a dangerous degree
this country has changed for the worse,
and the best you can do is chalk it up to partisan activity....
it's obvious to me who was born blind in 08 son

PM sent in response to my Big World thinking: "So a disgust for liars = hatred of women and a dislike for gays = less human lowest denominaor. Get off your high horse..."

That means You can't follow my thinking because of your programming.

I lived in the Bay Area for 15+ years, and Northern Europe, it is not cool to disparage anyone..!!!

I love pissing off Rednecks..!
So sensitive, in spite of their pretended internet machoism.

Striking a nerve is usually an indication of dysfunctional behavior. I am on my high horse again. I like it up here.

Striking a nerve is usually an indication of dysfunctional behavior. I am on my high horse again. I like it up here.
dysfunctional behavior can be observed in many people
many ways, so many of them have their heads either in way up there in the clouds to observe from above
butt really can't see shit because their heads are up in their A$$ :ying:

Do you folks want a republican, perhaps Fat Christie..?
maybe you could add fat people to your list of humans that shouldn't be disparaged,
its obviously not on *your list*
of course maybe fat people do not live in the bay area or N Europe so you may be a tad clueless if you need to treat them with any respect

EVOLVE...
we all do, some think they have reached the apex and ride above the others
only to look down at the hapless morons and shit pearls of their wisdom upon them

Well, first of all Romney isn't running for 2016.

It appears to me that both Reps and Dems are waking up to the wave of legalization and properly shifting their positions as politicians are known to do.

False equivalency is so tedious. Legalization has long been favored by Dems' liberal base, not so much on the other side. Politicians both lead & respond to their base. There are exceptions, obviously, but Repubs clearly have a lot more shifting to do than Dems.

That's obvious in the voting wrt CO A64 & the recent HOR votes wrt cannabis. Enough Repubs crossed the line to attempt to protect MMJ, but they still present a solid front when it came to enforcing federal law wrt recreational cannabis. Mere facts.

Of course Romney isn't running. That's not the point. The point is that his position was to quash legalization, period. End of subject.

OTOH, Obama evaluated that same situation differently.

I think it's important to recognize that anybody having at least a passing familiarity with the truth about cannabis knows full well that legalization will work. Whether they want it to work or are willing to let it work is another matter entirely. It's also utterly obvious that if legalization will work in CO then it will work throughout the nation.

Realistically, Obama & Holder had to know that their complicity with CO legalization would make reversal by any future Admin nearly impossible because catastrophe is impossible. The very nature of cannabis use dictates that outcome. Both men know that to be true because of their upbringings, Holder in particular. He was raised in East Elmhurst, Queens as the son of a successful immigrant. Both he and Obama understand cannabis use.

Colorado's timing was impeccable- I figure that we have 3 years, minimum, to create a new reality, a new paradigm with an honest set of facts & figures. We simply will not fail to reveal prohibition as Fail to the rest of the country & beyond.

Even Hillary seems to believe in us. Her political opponents, not so much.
