I recently planted some seed that germinated, Planted them a few might have the tap root facing down/up and or sideways. Will it eventually grow upwards through the soil?

Root goes down, embryo and seed casing goes up. But yes it will be fine. As long as they are aren’t buried to tightly ie. loose covering of soil, they will reorientate themselves by gravity.
