It's been a while fellow growers, I'm still doing my thing out here in MA but honestly miss keeping up with a journal on here.
My current grow is almost two weeks into the 12/12 switch so let me get everyone up to speed. The strains I'm working with right now are Critical Jack, Chocolope, and a friends own breed named Ron Berry.
I also have some Cotton Candy seeds that I just popped that will be grown in a tent with Aeroponics but I'm not sure if I will include that grow in this journal or make a new one yet.
I built a grow room in my basement last year and I have to say that I love it. The tents I used in the past were good but the flexibility of a built room just blow tents out of the water.
My room is 4 feet wide, 9 feet deep, and about 7 feet tall. Originally there were 2 400W Lumateks in the room but I recently upgraded to 2 600W Apollo ballasts. Each light covers a 3x3 area in the room and I usually have 4 plants under each light.
The 400W lumateks are still being used for Veg with a MH bulb but I will be switching them out and using the 600W HPS for flower.
There is a Vortex fan for an exhaust which pulls air out of the room and sends it directly outside and I recently purchased an inline fan for the room since the passive intake I was using was not enough and heat was becoming an issue. The intake and outtake fans are between 300-400CFM.
I've been using Sunshine soil and the foxfarm trio nutrients for years and will most likely maintain this until I expand my grow. I also mix in some Cal-Mag and HiBrix.
