these things didn't even smell like weed, just like strawberry car freshener, kinda gross to be honest. got real old real fast, but was a great gimmick to pawn it off on friends.

didn't taste quite as nice as it looked either.

ps... these genetics have been around a LONG LONG time, only recently has an established breeder brought it to the public, so many people have grown this stuff out long before DP ever released it, including myself.

Yeah, it's got no strawberry smells, but it's pretty potent - nothing close to being off the charts or anything like that, but it's okay. The stone is real strong, but not the sort that I really like. It's sort of spacey and makes you think things like "wasn't there some place I was supposed to be right now?" or "Where have I been for the last hour?" he he. Real spacey and most unproductive.

I do find, however, that it's a nice smoke to go for a ride through the forest with. I smoked a bone of sc yesterday morning on such a ride - I took it easy for the rest of the day :) I'm about to go start the day right today too ;)

that depends on what you're looking for James.... i personally would not spend 120$ on these seeds, but that's just me. there are a lot of strains out there that are sold for less that are comparable or better in the potency category, BUT, i cant personally say much about the DP version of Straw Cough, other than I havent heard of anyone even pulling a strawberry pheno out of these seeds yet, and they're supposed to be strawberry cough!

jamesontigerrub, I'm of the opinion that they aren't going to rock. :( You never, ever know though  Rezdog is flowering some, so there'll be another cross-reference on the DP (not double penetration) version.

Look, I found this pic of the cough we just grew... Nice yielder, strong high, but not much taste character... This isn't the DP version (as far as I know).

I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one whose been sceptical of the hype around this strain. I've never grown it or smoked it, but something just didn't sit right about it for me. Maybe it's just the name that doesn't sit right with me. Strawberry Cough just doesn't get me excited.

Thing is... the folks who say that they've had the real sc from clone were really satisfied that it was a damned good smoke. Only thing is, I've heard of NO success stories in trying to breed it for those damned good traits. Our cross seems to have reverted to mostly haze - and a watered down haze at that. It wasn't a bad head at all! But the taste and smokeability left something to be desired.
