Fentanyl is normally synthesized in a lab. Very different production than opiates from opium.
However, once the Fentanyl leaves the lab and is 'cut' - control over dosage goes out the door.
Then, if one of the buyers in the supply chain doesn't have analytical equipment, they are left to rely on "qualitative feedback" from the gang lab-rat, along the lines of "how high does it get you ?" ... once they mix it with whatever they mix it with.
So, in the fentanyl supply chain, you probably have some ex-opium/heroin dealers ... who may have experience 'titrating' (diluting) heroin.
Anyway, it's logical you would end up with a hodgepodge of dosages. With a drug as potent as fentanyl, that's like playing Russian Roulette while you're REALLY high.
Plus if they tend to increase the minimum dose, so that it does get the customer high ... then with wildly varying doses, watch out for the guy who gets the product from the higher dose batch. Yikes ... death ... etc.
I would think this would be a Business Opportunity.
They make Home Pregnancy kits - why not a "How strong is my Fentanyl" kit ?
just getting a tiny amount of it on your skin can result in death . i just don't see why (regardless of $$$) that anyone would fuck with this shit...
I hope that the fentanyl isn't being used as cut out here in the West, got a cousin who has been stuck on the smack for s few years. It terrifies me that we are going to lose another family member. He's a spoiled ass kid, I want to smack his mother who pays for his habit and even takes him to get it. How the he'll do you enable your child to slowly kill themselves? She's more worried about what her neighbors in her ritzy area think. Your image means nothing when your child dies, that's guilt I couldn't fathom.
the fentanyl i am reading about around here is black market stuff being smuggled in from China & other countries. hell, the morons making it probably don't know how pure/strong it is much less the folks killing their customers...no consistancy at all.
