This is my dad and I, a long time ago.
This is the man that taught me so much about life.
He was pure in heart and a lover of all things in nature.
This last Friday he was whisked away by the unknown after a battle with cancer.
If any of you feel like you could maybe let out some positive energy into this world as so I might gravitate to it. I'd really appreciate it right now.

He looks like a classic stoner....and the smile tells me how much he loves you.

Ain't no words to make it right....but sometimes they make things clearer. I hope you garner something from this offering. I have nothing else to give but respect and understanding. I lost my dad a year ago...my brother 2 years ago...and my oldest son 6 years ago. I miss em everyday.

Go on and make him proud. He'll see every fuckin second of it......

may the good times see you through the darkness...

Healing Part II

Composer: Todd Rundgren
Duration: 7:50
Where you are going
you cannot take your body
You are on a journey,
the baggage is too heavy

You can leave your legs behind you,
you will learn to fly
You can leave your arms behind you,
you will touch the sky
You can leave your head behind you,
you are thought itself
You can leave the rest behind you,
you are breath itself

Now you are naked,
there's no one here to judge you
See the clear light
shining high above you
Then you're floating in the silence,
you are not alone
For the power of your being
keeps you flowing on
Look upon yourself
only with compassion
Strip away the shell
hiding your perfection
Though your past was full of darkness,
now the past is gone
And your life is starting over
when it's just begun

Now you are whole,
don't you recognize it
Towering eternal
behind the troubled thoughts that hide it
Though at times it seems so distant,
it is always there
When you need its peace and power,
you will know it's here

You are his "Pride and Joy" forever. A fathers pride is amazing and given so freely. You know he knew and felt the same as you. Always treasure the memories. Smile and keep his memory close as it will protect you. My prayers go out to you and yours

:huggg:Deepest sympathies my friend.

You're going to be amazed through the rest of your life just how alive your father's Spirit is... still paying you significant visits. I dare say he will even be giving you "helping hands" when he sees the opportunities.

Sounds cray-cray... I know.... but just you wait & see bro.

You both are blessed to have shared this Earth together.

Allow yourself to grieve and mourn without limits. It's perfectly healthy to do so. :huggg:

Sorry about your dad. I'll send out some good vibes when I'm on my walk tomorrow.

Great picture by the way I'd get it framed for sure!

Thank you everyone for the kind words! Popps was laid to rest Wednesday. The service was at his and my childhood church. We come from a small town. There were friends of his that came into town that he hadn't seen in last 40 years, well since I was born. Times are hard now, but I now they will get better. I have a daughter barely 2 years old, yes I had a kid late in life. She brings me up and I'm grateful for her inning innocence. Unlike popps who became a father at barely the age of 18 after I was born. I lost my mom 5 years ago to cancer as well. That was tough and I thought I'd handle my dad's passing better. Haha, yeah right, dummy.
Anyways I felt like getting some stuff out and what a better way then to do it with strangers.
