Best air cooled hood for a 4 x 2 tent????

Hi all.trying to get things going. Getting a 4x2 tent and was wondering if a rectangular hood would be best for even light dispersal? I know a lot of hoods are designed to put out a square foot print.

I've been looking at the
Sun system sun star and the hydrofarm day star.

Anyone have experience with a 4x2???

Either of those hoods should work fine for you. Bulbs throwa lot more light off the sides than they do off of the front or back. It would be best if the bulb is oriented so the sides of it are the 4ft direction. That won't leave a lot of room for ducting, so nothing too big. Are you planning on a 400w hps? Have you picked out your other equipment? Like your ballast, bulb, exhaust fan, or the tent itself?

Just to clarify by front and back of the bulb I mean the socket and tip of the lamp.

the day star should be fine.

I run 2 2x4 1 grow 1 flower. Both are 8" air cooled 600hps and 400mh (might go to 600 mh but haven't decided) even though the 600 hps is way over 50 watts per f2 I thought my yield would go up. But with a big fan both cool very nicely. Ones a cool sun reflector and the other is hydro farm.
