Can I use Yellow jacket hoses on my closed loop instead of steel braided???

So I recently purchased a Passive closed loop system, I’ve been open blasting for a while now and been thinking about switching up to the closed loop system for about 2yrs now and finally made a jump and since I’m an A/c tech(12yrs) I have some equipment as far as vacuum pump 7cfm 2 stage and wireless scale and a couple set of yellow Jacket gauges now I been pulling a vacuum on CLS to about 400 microns with regular yellow jacket hoses so I was wondering if I can use these hoses instead of the ones they sent because they seem flimsy and easy to kink
The hoses are 1/4 inch and the valves on my CLS are the 37 jic

I’m still waiting on xtane-nbutane

I use one just to pull a vacuum on my system. I won't trust them to have liquid butane or product touch them. The only specs I've found said they're made from treated rubber and are made to withstand CFCs, HCFCs and HFCs. As far as flexible materials, the standard for butane CLS systems is to not use anything but PTFE (which most CLS transfer hoses are, under the braided stainless) or Buna-N or Viton for triclamp gaskets. The ends of the Yellow Jacket hoses are also brass insread of stainless steel, which you may not want to expose your product too, although that would be a lesser concern for me. It's a shame because they're generally sturdy hoses and they're a LOT cheaper ($10 each vs $60).

I've been thinking about learning to make my own PTFE braided stainless hoses. I think it could be a good little side business if you did a good job, were quick to deliver and could beat the competition on price. And with 6' long, 1/4" FNPT hoses costing $50-100, while the bulk hose is only $1-2/foot, that seems possible. Those 3/8 and 1/2" hoses can get quite pricey.

Gotcha yeah and I been looking for a anti static manifolds for r600 and r290 and they also come with standard hoses and manifolds are 1/4 Sae brass as well

The standard unlined HVAC hoses leach, none of them should be used.

PTFE lined hoses are the standard, but the PTFE is stiff and kinks, I'll attach a picture showing a piece of 3/8" ID PTFE tubing that has been bent too tightly, and now has permanent kinks.

New Stainless Steel Braided PTFE Hoses with Black Kink Resistant Coating
May 30 2017

We are constantly improving our equipment to raise the bar on standards for the Terpenator©.

All standard hoses are still the same stainless steel braided PTFE lines, but have been upgraded with a kink-resistant coating to prevent damage and prolong the life of each hose, therefore reducing maintenance costs, downtime, and subsequently lost profits. Check out our hoses.

***Note: Do not exceed the specified hose bend radius or the inner PTFE liner will kink and the hose integrity will become compromised and should not be used.

Nylon lined hoses should be ok, they're nearly as chemical resistant, but aren't up to the temperature extremes of PTFE.

1/4″ PLUS II™ hoses are UL recognized assemblies (File SA9737)
The nylon permeation barrier meets SAE requirements J2196 for CFC, HCFC and HFC refrigerants
The moisture barrier provides improved resistance to moisture migration which contaminates expensive refrigerant
1/4″ RYB PLUS II™ hoses are rated for 4000 psi (276 bar) minimum burst and 800 psi (55 bar) maximum working pressure and an operating temperature of -20° to 180°F (-28.8° to 82.2°C)
Minimum bending radius: 6″ (152mm)
Made in the USA

BVV has a couple of new manifolds,

Yeah I got the plus II yellow jacket hoses and thanks for the info I’m look into the PTFE kink resistant ones

For a passive system you only need the hose to pull the initial vacuum.

The pump is not used while extracting & no vac line/solvent exposure should occur.

Refrigeration hoses typically have a veneer, or liner made of nylon or in some cases Kevlar, which is suitable for LPG, but doesn't have the static electricity dissipating carbon filler that stainless over braided filled PTFE does.

Yellow Jacket hoses are lined to resist a variety of refrigerant types, but I didn't find anything telling with what with.
