Taken from GO Joe's link

I'm assuming they are talking about Adam Mueller? Has anyone actually tried this or can point to a documented verification? Super interested to learn more and again sorry for going off topic.

Technically not bho because of the solvent used but I believe the beginning of commercial made cannabis extractors is this guy
GW recently started a thread with a blog from David with the early history of solvent extraction:

"Cannabis Alchemy by D Gold Circa 1971"

FYI BHO goes back before erowid, and before Indra. Obviously, pouring butane through a tube in 98 does not a patent make. There's all this giving away talk anyways. However, he fully deserves credit for PVC tube BHO. And I guess all the explosions.

https://www.icmag.com/ic/showpost.ph...6&postcount=16

This is posted then he appears out of nowhere. I never read his erowid post or heard of Indra until Todd mentioned it right before he joined the HC panel after.

freejon brought it up again later,
https://the-hive.archive.erowid.org/...&Number=100222

then gyro - I had read all his posts too, but my post was only about putting a date on the first post and punning.

https://the-hive.archive.erowid.org/...=&Number=90292
https://the-hive.archive.erowid.org/...&Number=567313
https://the-hive.archive.erowid.org/...&Number=573826
https://the-hive.archive.erowid.org/...&Number=561893

gyro talks much about doing more interesting and serious chemistry than Indra's let on about on HC. It must have a fun and quite profitable time for him and his crew of at least freejon in (?)Switzerland.

Hash oil

Hi, a new-bee here, not a chemist, but definitely a Cannabinologist for many years.

Please everybody DO TRY the method given by gyrogearloose with a length of PVC pipe and lighther gas. A FOAF tried it last night and IT WORKED BEYOND MY CRAZIEST EXPECTACTIONS. Followed the instructions exactly (1 1/2 ft length of PVC, two stoppers with holes, 4 small cans of lighter butane, put a container under the pipe, filled a small soup bowl with the gaz/THCoil mix, put the soup bowl in a larger container holding warm water on the window ledge. The gas started to boil like mad and disappeared in less than 10 min.

Looked in the dish: Lo and Behold, about 3/4 of a gram of pale blond sticky oil, really like honey. Put two drops in a rolled-up cig... wwwwwoooohhhh!!! Really should have only put half a drop. Kicked ass like I haven't seen for years. I only managed to smoke a third of the cig, and this is from someone who has a 22+ years history of daily consuming. And this was only made with small underdeveloped bottom buds!

Hey Gyro, a million thanks to you for this 3rd millenium method. No heat, no solvents, no mess, no time... a small yield OK, but WHAT A YIELD!

Next time I'm (the FOAF is) going to try with less butane.

So please, THC lovers TRY THIS. (wow, haven't been enthusiastic like this for years)

Thanks for sharing this everyone!

Sometime around 2004-05 I had a glassblower friend ask me what I was doing with all my trim. I was making an infused cooking oil in a crock pot for the most part but was also tossing a bunch when I cropped again and didn't have the bins to stow in. I know we got our initial tech from the gypsy glass community that brought it up from NorCal.

I went out to the studio (aka barn in BFE) and I got my first 4' glass tube with a nipple at the end of it. The technique was a double boiler made of casserole dishes. I feel like before the pancake griddle and seeding mat I used a basic heat pad underneath to "cook things" off.

The quality of trim at the start was atrocious and so was the product. Paper clip dabbers and glass bulb drop stems that looked awful and burst into flames when dabbed. The high was so much stronger then anything else at the time I guess it kept me motivated to strive for more flavor and control the quality that went into the product for a better outcome.

The oil chronicles are deep, I could talk for hours about the progression. Hash church makes now just blows my mind and I couldn't be happier with where we are heading with our industry and passion.

Is INDRA using any other name than that on the patent (John Henry Davis?) Btw, here's the thread on his patent,

https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=330631&page=3

Btw, here's INDRA's presentation on how to open blast, posted originally the year after others had described it (compare to the links in the lead post,)

I dont think anyone is calling him a fraud or not extremely knowledgeable in extraction, I think the criticism is primarily in the patent right claims. Was there was a closed loop design public before his patent? He obviously has the first to file part down, was it public domain pre his closed loop filing via online dissemination?

I asked Indra if he went by the name of freejon on erowid to which his said he did.

He also said Grey Wolf had the worst and unsafest system and design, paraphrasing but as close to the quote as I can remember. I invited him here for proper discourse vs a streaming chat, hoping he does seeing as hes no stranger to forums based on is erowid past from near 20 years ago!"

Assuming Indra/John Henry Davis is freejon as claimed to Pangea, check out G.O. Joe's links again,
