Another week of growth for the FEMALE SEEDS AK 'testers'. Now at 7.5 weeks (52 days) since germination under LED. Addijng Neptune's Harvest 1`/3 strength, every 3rd watering.

Plant #1 [right] (taller pheno of the two), 25.25" prolific bud sites but not large cola. Healthy and happy.

Plant #2, [left] catching up at 22" and starting to bud, seeing ....what Plant#1 looked like 10 days prior.

Looking good! Impressed with factors: growth, leaf formation, buds, well tolerated using LED and amendments.

hello AD,

Hope all is well, my friend and that you are having a great beginning of 2019
First thanks for your feedbacks, much appreciated. Secondly, I went through the various posts and I am really happy to see how good things are going.
You have some healthy ladies down there, pretty sure those bud sites will fill up amazingly. Interesting difference between the last 2 AK, they might indeed be the same pheno, just one faster then the other?

So sorry for appearing so late on this thread but I was on holiday 'til few days ago...but no worries, I will do my best to follow every step from now on

Thanks for the constant updates, great thread

Can't wait to see more!

Cheers,
Mr B.

Sure thing, Mr. B. Will keep up weekly updates until finished. Leaf pattern is different in Plant #2, hence my thinking more Northern Lights coming from the Low Ryder if description on the seed description site is accurate.

Until Sat/Sun.

AK AUTO TEST GROW
Week 8.5
59 days

Plant pheno #2 surpassed Plant #1. Multi-branched, now at 34", bud sites going strong.
Plant pheno#1 abundance of bud sites, 28"

Guesstimate of finishing.... 1 more month.
Feeding 1/3 strength Neptune Harvest every other feeding
Supplementing Organic Plant Magic 1/4 strength every 5th watering.

Girls are happy!

Addendum:
Transplanted Pheno #2 in a 4.5 gallon (17 liter) from the original 3 gallon container/nursery bucket.
Because Pheno #1 is heavily into flowering, we'll see how she does, no transplanting.

TIP: Only transplant in early stages keeping entire soil mass intact otherwise you can stunt them if roots are disturbed.

We've transplanted hundreds in our seed breeding biz, hence nary a problem.

AK FEMALES SEEDS TEST GROW
Week 9.5
DAYS: 66

Pheno #1 Shorter stockier plant. No change in height from week prior. Buds developing, fattening up, early orange/browning in pistils at top.
Pheno #2: Measures 33". Had to LST top as other plants in our area are SOG, about the same height.

Transplanted last week Pheno #2 into 4.5 gallon nursery bucket. No problems with transplanting.

Both healthy, loving their environment.
Supplements: Neptune's Harvest 1x a week.

Pheno # 1; I imagine 2-3 more weeks before harvest.
Pheno #2- 3+ weeks as growth continues, but sites fattening up, cola forming despite LST.

Chime in folks!

Lovely updates aridbud
Glad to see that you had no problem with transplanting, the 2nd pheno looks great with a beautiful green colour on the leaves.
It's interesting to notice that she's now higher than the other one, somehow she caught up. It seems like a slow pheno in the beginning but that develops faster only later in the growth. Quite curious about this one.

So, number one stopped and is just shaping its buds, really interesting.
And I guess she'll stay like this until the end, it's not the stretchy pheno apparently

Anyhow, thanks again for the detailed descriptions, everything really clear and tidy, to me at least

Until next update, take care!

Cheers,
Mr B.

You're welcome Mr. B. It's been a nice journey watching the 2 AK's grow. We usually plant 20-25 of one strain to find the best pheno for breeding. While 20 isn't as much as others breeding, it's a fair sampling.

Yes, Pheno #1, branched out with many bud sites, plump and flourishing. Meanwhile, Pheno #2 decided to thrive in a latent burst of energy.

So far, so good!
Another weekly update o'er the weekend.

AK FEMALES SEEDS TEST GROW
Week 10.5
DAYS: 73 Days

Individual pics.

Pheno #1, No height, leveled off at 29" height.
Buds swelling trichomes are clear but robust. Figure 10 more days to milky, ~2 weeks to amber. Lower fan leaves yellowing or dead.

Pheno #2 at 35" height, buds swelling and it's probably 2 weeks behind in maturation compared to Pheno #1. Both under same 600w LED 18/6.

This is a good strain that does not reek. Personally, I prefer that. Until you rub the stalk, only a faint aroma of sour citrus or earthy is noted. Growing in organic soil, organic amendments, I cannot be certain if 'earthy' is from medium.

Both phenos do not have the skunk aroma, so maybe a good choice for incognito/indoor grows.

Will be great to compare outdoors in a few months to see size, formation.

Until next week. Good growing to all.
