As Hooka states, using locally sourced materials is where its at. The only reason I'm going with the peat moss is that it is going to be at the shop down the block from me. Pumice is plentiful and cheap here. Pumice IS volcanic rock so one is gaining associated attributes and for some more instant results take a hammer to it.

I like using a variety of colors of small stone (river pebbles, pea gravel) as my gut tells me different colors represent various minerals. Don't quote me on this because it is far from scientific.

Of course.
Mainly though, the rocks take up real estate and make your pots heavy.
My gut tells me cactus juice.
The endobacteria from cactus juice will break those rocks down.

Don't quote me.

Three things in life I always wanted to get together.
You, yucca compost, and Cardon cacti.
I'm getting closer.
A new world order.

Actually your gut is right.

And it's as scientific as any scientists I know.

Blue often indicates Copper.

So does Green.

Is that 65 bucks for that tub???

I thought my worm castings are super expensive at ~20 bucks for 40L.
