Commercial strains with best calyx/leaf ratio

I must have gotten some of that same batch of C99 from Mosca. Small, pale seeds.

Yes exactly!
I hate judging a strain or breeder from one pack of seeds...but it's hard not to at these prices.

I'll check out the sweet deep grapefruit.
Just trying to make a big list of strains, then slowly narrow it down with research.
Thanks

Double Dutch, comes to my mind.
Selected SSH / Jack Herer Pheno can produce MONSTER Yields with good calyx/leaf ratio..

SSH has very quick phenos(friend is running a skunk leaning cut that takes about 70days) and you get very good quality. Also you don't need to veg them much.Super easy and forgiving plants if you're not chasing for the 100+ day haze phenos. Can't go wrong with it, i did several packs and there was never a "bad" pheno in it. Lots of variation and for every taste there is something, even 50 day superfast thingis are among those...>1g/w no prob at all, if dialled in.

14 days more veg or 14 days longer flowering doen'T really matter unless you're running perpetual setup...It's a matter of personal taste. I never go for huge veg, i love to use stretchy plants
Lost my DD some time ago but new pack is waiting for its run. Also nice stuff..

Was your ssh from mr nice?

I would normally agree with you about trading 2 weeks of veg for 2 of flower. But 14 days more flowering does matter when you have a mold prone environment. The longer my plants sit with big buds, the more likely they are to get mold. So faster flowering is better in my situation.

But yeah...I would love a fast, heavy, potent ssh or jack.

Old Sensi SuperSkunk still the most Consistently Least Trimming needed strain I have found, not sure how it is now but It was literally pull of fan leaves and done.....

Yes it's MNS SSH. Just look for the medium long flowering individuals. Never had any mold problems with it. Just don't go crazy with p/k towards the last month and you're allright. Buds aren't superdense but huge, armsized and very crispy.
Superskunk would be also a good option if you can get good one...dunno if sensi is still viable today...

Have you tried a relatively recent batch though? Old school shiva totally fits the bill, but lots of people claim sensi/serious went downhill. I tried fem double dutch a few years ago and got a great pheno, but only 3 out of 16 plants were even worth smoking. The rest were basically trash. It was still worth it to find that one pheno, but definitely not good breeding material.

Got 2 packs of regs in the last few months 3 out of 5 popped, they are about 8" high and very healthy. Smells like the old Shiva cut I had

Very cool. You should write a smoke report when done. It can be hard to find info on modern versions of the classics because trendy hybrids are the name of the game.

Sour Diesel Riri cut.
There's a couple related seedlines floating around. Not much info/reviews though. Would love to try out the clone.

That one is actually on my to do list! I've been putting it off due to stretch and flower time, but it seems like a super underrated line.

saw a pheno of the Biker Kush from Karma genetics here on icmag, nearly all bud
Running the offspring of biker (headbanger) and it certainly has a good ratio.

Whats a good one even look like? Theres no pics or stats in this thread. Are we talking total
number of calyxes or most mass of calyx meat?
