New micro cab

Hey my dudes. Not so long ago I abandoned my cardboard box micro cab and I'm goimg to use this as my mother/early clone veg cab.

Dimensions.

48 in tall × 33 in across × 12.5 in wide. Stuck some Mylar in there. 2 pc fans. Bigger one is located towards the bottom. Smaller is up at the corner sucks put the hot air.

Light.

Not sure how much ill put in there but the plan is the same screw in leds I had in the cardboard guy. Green watt 9 watt @5000k, and 3000k. GE 9 watt 2700k. Great value 9 watt 5000k. The clones seemed to do poorly under the leds. Ive had similar results with almost every plant ive messed with. They do better under cfls in the beginning. So I put a shelf inside and have my lonely clone under 2 cfls. 1 is 13 watt @5000k the other is 13 watt at 2700k.

The plan is to house my skywalker og mother and also raise the clones I take while pulling a test dwc flower to see how these screw in leds can perform. 6 of these screw ins is like 54 watts. Id like to get an ounce but thats shooting way high. We will see. Update wont be for a minute as this skywalker is just spreading its roots so I will transfer it to dwc very soon.

Small update

Small update

Here are the 3 skywalkers I had setup in the previous microbox and set loose to replace the single one I'm finishing in my flower closet. Theyre pooking pretty decent considering as much moving around as they did. Not really sure if I should keep em in this or put in a tote like I usually do. I feel like keeping in the shallower container is gonna be best as it will cut a good 14 in from the canopy height and really allow the plants to grow into the canopy. Ive noticed that if you run out of space with cobs or any led really, you have to do some sort of training or run a scrog. :/

Pretty smooth sailing

Although the cab hasnt been put to serious use yet. It does house the clones i recently clipped from the 3 slywalkers I have taken from my original test skywalker og (which is being chopped after this post)
I popped a single [SW÷OG] seed I saved from an awesome bag .I was lucky enough to find a lone seed that I labeled and put away not to be seen for 3+ years. Anyways. It popped. Put it in a cup with another plant that ended up being a bully and stealing most of the light from the [SW÷OG]. The bully was a male. So I was left with a small amd very stinky little thing. Pics above show what the little dwc plant ended up producing. Not much. I will weigh dry but I'm not expecting too much. The 3 I have in a shallower water culture have exploded. Bigger now by far than than the lone og I chopped. So im expecting much better results there. They are under 100 watts give or take of homemade led cobs amd chips. 1 Vero 29 5000kand 1 cxb3590 3500k. 8 Cree xpes 4000k. Only 100 watts vegging and ill soon add them to my other closet that houses another 375 watts give or take of other builds. Small tip of advice is to give the led PLEANTY of room between it and your plant. They love it. More on the cab when these clones start to grow out. Peace love and metal. \m/

Thanks man ^^ . I like the way it looks as far as it being able to be put in a corner or closet in a spare room. Ill put some foam and or tape to cover leaks. The 2 fans I have in there are making the temps pretty choice. Got 4 clones looking good and I'm about to clip off 4 fresh ones. They stay over a heatpad . makes the clones do well with a lid. 2 are put into 32 oz cup with hydroton. Still unsure how to veg these new rounds of clones. It will be hydro. Prob dwc.

The 3 I'm the swc are about to be clipped for clones and either tied down or cropped down. Id really like to tie them around the perimeter of the canopy.

Ive heard mixed feeling about the lst and to be honest ive yet to run a strain enough times to be able to see if that strain likes or dislikes it. I feel strain is one if not the biggest factor in growing decent bud. How do you tie down? I have that swc lid over the resevoir and I have to loft lid to test ph amd add solution. Thats a big reaso ive yet to scrog at all.

The cab is doing a good job housing clones but simce I dont pull a huge harvest, I'm go ing to try to quicken the process by adding more girls to the equation. Ive never done this with dwc so lets cross the fingers. Lol. I just cut a few smaller holes in my other dwc tub. Put the rockwool clones in bathroom solo cups and I stuck em with the others 2 I had previously put into 32 oz pop cups.
On the other end the 3 swc plants in the closet are looking decent. Ive only tied half down as an experiment to see how the other side looks or performs. I might just tie it down tho. The canopy will need to be very even. Any tips would be super appreciated my dudes

Similar to what I was going to say. Ingenious!!!

We used one of those metal work uniform storage lockers in the garage. Worked like a charm! You can buy them at used office/warehouse stores.

Had a nice cabinet that savvy (unknowing) friends that would ask, "What is this?" I'd reply, "Oh, it's a wine cabinet storage" (since it was a piece of fine furniture). Worked for a decade with 3 panels of T5's, 3 CPU fans and black carbon filters.

Yeah I'm only doing soil, I'm not sure about lst with hydro. I guess you'd maybe have to put some screws around the edge of your reservoir, but without making any leaks. Somebody with hydro experience will know better. I use safety pins in the sides of my soft pots then like garden twist ties to tie them down. I've seen people use the plastic coated wire, it's stiffer, but it's more expensive by a ton. The twist ties are safe if you don't wrap it around the plant, wrap it around the safety pin/screw instead and make a loop up over the branch, then pull it down and wrap it around the pin/screw again. When the plant grows larger than the pot I have screws in a couple of the saucers that work to keep the arms pulled down. I haven't done any scrog yet, but I try to keep an even canopy.

Thanks guys. I'm honestly only using this for a clone closet while I figure out this strain. Heatpad and a humidity dome (which mine is homemade) check em everyday to at least let the lid off for a bit. 2 of the bulbs on at like 36 in and they just chill. Had good success cloning this strain. Idblike to believe its because I'm grtting a bit better but then I have moments like this which nearly killed one of the closet girls.
Had a long and intense week at work and didnt so much as to peek my head in for a Damn thing as its been running smooth. I opened up to find girls fried up..and very thirsty. Bone dry. Whos knows for how long. I think it was a good 3-4 day. Some trimming and shutting off 2 cobs in the closet as we as the xml on my light bar theyre slowly starting to look ok. Well. Better than 2 days ago. Do you guys know if misting my leaves will do me good or bad in this situation? Ive never misted on indoor plants. Never cooked one that bad either. The leds have such penetration that they really need to be watched as your plants stretch. I havent exactly tied them down. I just kinda bend a bit in direction I think it should go and follow with a clothes pin or 3 weighing it down a bit. I would really like to just get a few growbags and rock a soil grow and get the scrog as ive never done it amd I never get my canooy as even as I want to. Keep chasing the even canopy my friends. Any tios always appreciated.

Starved

So after feeding the girls in the closet last I keep a better eye on my level and ppm. Found that the yellowing came back quick and my ppms were suoer low. I usually only feed about half strength. Pthese things had the ppm down to about 22o in a day or two so ive upped its dose to 3/4 strength and they havent looked better. I dont have an exact date on when I went to 12/12 but id say its been 3 maybe 4 weeks since the flip. Ill add another cob or 2 and see how they like or dislike em. More light rarely hurts tho. Gotta say..I like this 3 plant swc system I got rigged up. Got more overhead for my ugly led builds. Not super hot about having to water more often and tbh its tough to nearly impossible to get to the back of the closet but im all about utilizimg thel room I am given. Heres a couple pics before light during light etc and some of the micro cab which I'm using for clones and this new seedling I pooped. It was from a bag I purchased and to my surprise a lone seed popped out. To my even bigger surprise it popped in less than 24 hours of being in a cup of h2o. Smoke was pretty decent and mightve been some outdoor stuff as it looked like it might be. Im thinking if its a female ill be able to raise a better and more potent indoor plant out of her. Fingers crossed.
