[FONT=&quot]Imagine you marry your middle school sweetheart, have four children in that marriage and raise four boys in the Lord, attend church regularly, train our children in competition, teach them conservative values and work hard for them to attend Christian, private and public schools....

[FONT=&quot]Only to have a large group of black people called [/FONT][FONT=&quot]#BlackLivesMatter[/FONT][FONT=&quot] in black culture call you an Uncle Tom and your family a failure because we refuse to identify with their culture of failure, refuse to kneel and disrespect a flag or support black group think or black idolatry. We are called whitewashed and sellouts for building a legacy of success.[/FONT]

It may be discussed (the MSM angle) in a multitude of threads, where some of the comments aren't germane to the topic/conversation. e.g "[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Black Lives Matter "protest" lol...

While protest fall under the 1st amendment, riots and looting, have nothing to do with it.

There has been evidence posted here, where blacks are attacking their own people. This couple does not want to be associated with that group!

With all the hatred we see, regardless of who funded who etc... The true message is being diluted, and we can definitely blame MSM.

Anyone remember "occupy Wallstreet" were some protesters (shit disturbers) when asked why they were protesting, didn't have a response, or mumbled and fumbled somewhat of an answer.

The group that terrorized, yes I said the T word, a Mc Donald's, complete with black patrons and a black manager, just trying to stay afloat... simply revolting. This is the type of shit that turns people off.

I suppose i am naturally skeptical of many things i see and read, and i am skeptical of the original post. I attempted to perform a google search of the Hampton family, and couldn’t find anything. The text of the post is extremely political and does not even touch on treatment and violence that black people receive from LEO that is driving the protests across the country. I would think that would be acknowledged and addressed at least a little bit.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the whole thing was BS written by a white person and slapped on a random photo found on the internet.

It was my wife who read it to me. It wasn't until after the fact (that she had sent it, and I read it in its entirety) but, I wouldn't call it "political" as things seem to appear these days. However I cannot deny it very well looks like it was religiously motivated and, sorry they're not one and the same.

Of course we can say that regardless, their POV was/might have been weaponized. It wouldn't surprise me in the least. What doesn't surprise me is the sentiments displayed by the Hamptons are the same sentiments that I have seen numerous times from my own grand-daughter, who just happens to be a successful black young woman.

BTW, I'm a "honky" with no religious affiliation and I am damn proud of my grand-daughter's accomplishments in life. One could call her father (my SIL) an Uncle Tom (although we don't have those in Canada). No, both my daughter and SIL were brought up with a good set of values. He had a choice in life and, having seen the misery of "the system" decided to "get out" for the lack of better words.

In 2015, President Barack Obama said these words as he addressed the Baltimore riots upon the death of Freddie Gray.
But what’s hypocritical is how today’s riots are far more intense than anything America has seen in a couple of decades, yet these heinous acts affecting local businesses aren’t deserving of what truly was a sound and reasonable response from the Left.
Instead, the red carpet is being rolled out for looters and thieves, as people of all colors under the flags of #BLM and antifa take advantage of this massive wave of white guilt.
The mainstream media has officially mastered the art of bringing white liberals to their knees, all in an effort to vindicate one solitary act of violence against one single black man (who without question deserves justice). Meanwhile, they’ll never focus on the bigger picture, the other casualties of this brigade — the victims whose stories will never see the light of day or airtime on news platforms so long as this narrative lives.
So far, at least nine black people were killed in the rioting, but we don’t remember their names. But we thought this was about black lives.
Minority businesses burn to the ground, destroying economic opportunity as people’s life savings turn to ashes. But we thought we were fighting for black people who lacked opportunity by way of systemic racism?
Liberals and socialists feel so guilty that they haul away merchandise while wearing AirPods and Apple Watches. Taking a knee against injustice in the brand new sneakers they stole, these looters freely indulge in the plight of black America for their own gain, recording it all on brand new iPhones.
And in their arrogance, these rioters post their footage on social media, flaunting it as a sort of badge of honor to make their other white friends feel guilty. In intimidation, these types demand that all of their white friends kneel and speak out on behalf of black people, or else their silence equates to “violence.”
The truth of the matter? White guilt in 2020 has more to do with elitism than it does with actually helping black lives.

I keep thinking about something that Will Smith said awhile back.
He said “racism isn’t getting worse. It’s getting filmed.”

With the exception of that sad child with autism, I am not seeing videos or reading stories of unarmed white men getting shot in the back or having a knee pressed against their throat while they are gasping they can’t breathe. I get news from a wide variety of sources, left, right and non affiliated.

Maybe some police departments need to evaluate their practices and make some changes. In healthcare, when something bad happens somewhere, most hospitals around the country will look at their own practice models and see if they can be improved so they don’t make the same mistake. Perhaps more police departments should try that. Would that be a bad thing?
