"Drive-by shooter". Majority of California grapes are treated with Myclobutanil, which is neither cancerous nor hazardous. Simple fact....prove me wrong please!

Thankfully the regulations in markets like co and wash have raised the bar with growers following suit.

In the end your marginalizing yourselves as well because you can't even attempt to operate at that standard.

So you are saying CO and WA have outlawed Myclobutanil? Got proof? If not, nothing to see here---move along, no stopping, keep moving....off you go!

here is the site for the Washington State Pesticide Information Center Online (PICOL) Databases

http://cru66.cahe.wsu.edu/LabelTolerance.html

it is a bit tricky to use so I will walk everyone through it so there is no confusion what so ever.

Go to the website above and click registered labels, it will bring you here

http://cru66.cahe.wsu.edu/labels/Labels.php

This is where you can look up the allowed agricultural products for a given crop in Washington state.

Under Items to search on it says crop, click the down arrow and change the selection to i502/i692 (WA only)

Now under common name select yes and click submit query

the query will report 256 matching labels, these are the only allowable products according i502/i692

In order to see the individual products listings click format labels in the lower left

the screen will change one more time, then click view labels in teh lower left to see each of the only products allowed for cultivation under i502/i692

ABSTRACT Conazoles are a class of azole based fungicides used in agriculture and as pharmaceutical products. They have a common mode of antifungal action through inhibition of ergosterol biosynthesis. Some members of this class have been shown to be hepatotoxic and will induce mouse hepatocellular tumors and/or rat thyroid follicular cell tumors. The particular mode of toxic and tumorigenic action for these compounds is not known, however it has been proposed that triadimefon-induced rat thyroid tumors arise through the specific mechanism of increased TSH. The present study was designed to identify commonalities of effects across the different conazoles and to determine unique features of the tissue responses that suggest a toxicity pathway and a mode of action for the observed thyroid response for triadimefon. Male Wistar/Han rats were treated with triadimefon (100, 500, 1800 ppm), propiconazole (100, 500, 2500 ppm), or myclobutanil (100, 500, 2000 ppm) in feed for 4, 30, or 90 days. The rats were evaluated for clinical signs, body and liver weight, histopathology of thyroid and liver, hepatic metabolizing enzyme activity, and serum T3, T4, TSH, and cholesterol levels. There was a dose-dependent increase in liver weight but not body weight for all treatments. The indication of cytochrome induction, pentoxyresorufin O-dealkylation (PROD) activity, had a dose-related increase at all time points for all conazoles. Uridine diphopho-glucuronosyl transferase (UDPGT), the T4 metabolizing enzyme measured as glucuronidation of 1-naphthol, was induced to the same extent after 30 and 90 days for all three conazoles. Livers from all high dose treated rats had centrilobular hepatocyte hypertrophy after 4 days, while only triadimefon and propiconazole treated rats had hepatocyte hypertrophy after 30 days, and only triadimefon treated rats had hepatocyte hypertrophy after 90 days. Thyroid follicular cell hypertrophy, increased follicular cell proliferation, and colloid depletion were present only after 30 days in rats treated with the high dose of triadimefon. A dose-dependent decrease in T4 was present after 4 days with all 3 compounds but only the high doses of propiconazole and triadimefon produced decreased T4 after 30 days. T3 was decreased after high-dose triadimefon after 4 days and in a dose-dependent manner for all compounds after 30 days. Thyroid hormone levels did not differ from control values after 90 days and TSH was not increased in any exposure group. A unique pattern of toxic responses was not identified for each conazole and the hypothesized mode of action for triadimefon-induced thyroid gland tumors was not supported by the data

Anyone tried milk for PM? It works. Skim milk, diluted @ 9 parts H2O to one part milk. Anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and anti-viral. Milk supplies calcium & phosphorous to your plants. You will see a noticeable difference in your plants after a milk bath. It perks them right up. They love it. Supposedly also effective against tobacco mosaic virus. Important to use skim milk. You do not want the fat from milk on your plants, as it will begin to smell bad.
Don't believe it? Read:

"

Less than 3 years ago, researchers in South America discovered a new alternative to controlling powdery mildew. Wagner Bettiol, a scientist from Brazil, found that weekly sprays of milk controlled powdery mildew in zucchini just as effectively as synthetic fungicides such as fenarimol or benomyl. Not only was milk found to be effective at controlling the disease, it also acted as a foliar fertilizer, boosting the plant's immune system.

Powdery mildew in the cucurbit family is caused by the organism Sphaerotheca fuliginea. It is a serious disease that occurs worldwide. For decades, organic gardeners had to rely on making a spray from baking soda to control the disease. Now, instead of measuring out the baking soda and combining it with a surfactant (a "sticking" substance) of either oil or soap, gardeners need only head for their refrigerators.

In his experiments with zucchini plants, Bettiol found that a weekly spray of milk at a concentration of at least 10% (1 part milk to 9 parts water) significantly reduced the severity of powdery mildew infection on the plants by 90%. While some gardeners may be tempted to increase the concentration of milk for more control, Bettiol found that once concentrations rose above 30%, an innoccuous fungus began to grow on the plants.

How does milk control powdery mildew?

Scientist aren't 100% sure how milk works to control this disease. It seems that milk is a natural germicide. In addition, it contains several naturally occurring salts and amino acids that are taken up by the plant. From previous experiments using sodium bicarbonate, potassium phosphate, and other salts, researchers have found that the disease is sensitive to these salts. It is possible then, that milk boosts the plant's immune system to prevent the disease.

Milk used around the world

The benefits of using milk to control powdery mildew haven't been isolated to Brazil. Melon growers in New Zealand are saving thousands of dollars every year by spraying their crops with milk instead of synthetic fungicides. The melon growers in New Zealand have been so successful that the wine industry is taking notice and beginning experiments using milk to control powdery mildew in grapes.

What kind of milk should be used?

In Bettiol's original experiment, fresh milk was used, straight from the cow. However, this is obviously not feasible to most home gardeners. The research work in New Zealand actually found that using skim milk was just as effective. Not only was it cheaper, but the fact that the milk had no fat content meant that there was less chance of any odours."

Sprayed regularly during veg, milk will prevent PM from ever happening. Remember to spray during daytime/lights on. Best not to put plants to bed when wet.

if you have something against eagle 20 you have the option to not use it on your own garden. for those of us that don't have a problem using something that works, in veg, that leaves no trace in the finished product...simply put, it's not any of your concern...why are you going to tell someone that they shouldn't be doing something just because that's the choice you made, especially when our choices have ZERO impact on you or what your doing...the essence of this argument is as simple as our right to smoke pot, what im doing isn't bothering you so your inclination to belittle people for doing something that you don't support is just foolish, other adults decisions are not your concern...if you don't like eagle stay outta this thread it's pretty simple really. or you could start a "i hate eagle and everyone who uses it" thread, I'm sure you'll have more than a few people in support of that.
yes, I quoted myself...my garden is none of your concern, my choices are my choices, they do not effect you....make the descisions that you must regarding your own gardens but don't even try to tell me what to do in mine...it's the essence of liberty...

Weird, you are embarrassing yourself, I can not find ANYWHERE where Myclobutani is outlawed in Washington. The link you provided includes all the usual suspects. Sorry, try again.

In my world I live in a reality of "facts"--not "fiction" or what I what it to be. The simple fact is, Myclobutani is not carcinogenic and poses no health problems (when used responsibly)--not matter how loud you yell. Fact vs fiction.

All I said and proved without a shadow of a doubt, eagle20 is simply not allowed in cannabis cultivation in Washington State (nor any myclobutanil products)

you are the one who manufactured the term "outlawed" in this conversation.

The proof is in those links and the post where I listed all the approved products.

Rationalize it all you like.

Denying the reality of Washington grow regulations just shows the caliber of human being (and grower) that you really are.

:tiphat:

its ok the standard is being set and everyone using shit like eagle20 is falling below that standard.

and the most ironic part is that everyone using eagle20 is so limited by their own perceptions that their grow game and thus its future market viability are limited as well.

its not like you didn't have enough warning.

Make your own rules and the world will force you to live accordingly.

Weird...saying shit does not make it true! Show us the link....the page that supports your "wishes". Simple fact is--both Washington and Colorado allow Myclobutanil to be used on BOTH food and non food plants (period).

If you think about it....if it is outlawed, there should be bulletin/announcement/regulation stating same. Since none exist, then your claim that Myclobutanil is outlawed is 100% bullshit. Pure bullshit.

BTW...thanks for the neg rep, hope you enjoyed mine! Now, don't you feel better? Silly kids! Go troll another thread....you have been to this one a few dozen times and I think we know where you are coming from.
