a friend was dropping off some groceries to me when we noticed 2 bald eagles circling each other and looking like they were about to grab talons & do that tumbling toward earth mating ritual, I've seen that 4 or 5 times while living up here, always a thrill.
The Chippewa National Forest, very nearby me has 150 pair of nesting bald eagles. I personally find it interesting that the count of 150 pair has remained the same since the late '80s once health of the population was returned after the nationwide banning DDT.
