First undercoat :D The penetrating sealer really did the trick. I had to spray it with a vinegar mix to deactivate it before painting so it smells like fish n chips in there at the moment :p Its pretty white the room is lit only by one compact floro and the auto flash on my camera didn't activate :p

These are the two survivors. It's embarrassing how old these seeds are. They are Nirvana NLxShiva and Blue Mystic. They will keep me going until the cindy99 seeds arrive. I should have got them under the light sooner but I've been so busy with the room lol

Passive/active air

Passive/active air

I grow in a 3/4/7 tent and need to use a 150cfm with variable speed and blow some into the res (I know you're soil, so even more effecient) and blow the rest over the canopy. Airflow depends on lights on/off. I would also suggest another passive intake for a total of 1 and an active intake, also 1. My 4" inline is pulling air from a cool floor 25 ft away behind washing machine at 72deg. Keeps temps at 75-78. Do you blow the light's air out of the room?
Sorry, didn't read all posts so if this is redundant, sorry.
Good luck. GH

Added filter to the cooltube vents to dampen the noise a little and keep out pests.

Mounted vent covers on cork to absorb the ducting noise and sealed with caulk and aluminum tar tape. Cooltube ducts complete. I'll put mylar up next :D

Paint job is done.. two coats of sealing undercoat and 1 coat of yellow tinted white.. Stapled on mylar with tape. The flash makes it look less flat than it is...Green light looks epic... The whole room has a kind of matrix feel now lol It's so reflective it reflected my face in detail :) I will probably mylar the roof too... It's a bitch to put up this stuff.

Thanks for stopping by adelstrop. I'm actually hydro using NFT flow gullys.. Just using soil for the mother plants. Light is being exhausted out the room. Theres only about 3 feet of ducting between the fan and the exhaust. Those temps sound perfect. I'm hoping I'll end up in that zone too.

Checked the duct for leaks with a flashlight in a dark room no leaks at all. Sealed the crap out of it with foil tape and did a test run. The air outside was about 2C(35F) the cooltube was cold to touch after about an hour. I'm so sticking a 600w in this tube hehe. theres about 4ft of ducting in between the fresh air intake and exhaust. Working on the vege chamber now.

Thanks for stopping in guys. Theres plenty of room building pics to come... It's great I can share my experience. If I can do it with my spice rack level DIY experience then anyone can :p

Pontiac's DIY Link-o-rama is awesome. SO much inspiration there. Anyone out there considering building anything should check it out :D here

The cab is coming along. It's going to hold the mothers/clones and electrics. It's built solid and has grown a few plants in its time. It also has a lock :D

I'm planning to coat the electrical shelf with some kind of fireproof material for piece of mind. Currently modifying it to make the vege and mother chamber area light/air-proof. I'll vent it with a small fan and draw the growroom air in through the front door and out through the other hole.

As soon as I've got the light-proofing done I'll give her a fresh coat of paint :)

Some more growers porn for u guys :D I't really is starting to take shape. I need to make a few more adjustments such as move the tube fan higher so the air has a more direct path and I still need to install my intake vent which is roughly twice the size of the intake. Bungy cords are so handy hehe It's all semi adjustable.
I'll see how the filter performs but I may upgrade it later.
Couldn't resist had to run a quick test. The only intake in the room is my light switch hole and it was pulling serious air through it.
I'm going to put the intake in the lower middle directly below the exhaust.
thanks again for the support :D

The mothers to be are coming along.. hard to believe it's only been 7 days since I put them in the pots.
Feeding them n.p.k.8.3.6 blood and bone and running diy co2 20mins a day.

I prefer covered clear cups early on so you can pay attention to whats going on down under. Just have to drill holes in the bottom put them on a tray with ridges so they can drain.
