I put all my trim in the freezer in ziploc bags after I harvested it do I need to dry it to make butter or can I take it out of the freezer and throw it in? Thanks.

Does the trim need to be dried for butter?

Not at all it's better to have it fresh so as to not soak up the goody goody 
Awesome ran out of room in my freezer trying to figure out what to do with couple pounds of trim lol...I think butter would make it much smaller plus it can freeze for almost ever. Thanks a lot to the kitchen I go.
