rooting tomato cuttings?

I've been trying to root tomato cuttings the same way I root cannabis/basil (basil roots very easily) with no luck.

I take cuttings from the bottom of the plant. Make a 45 degree angle and stick in peat or water. 24h low light, add heat, etc..

I'm trying it again by just putting cuttings in water with no additives, to see how it goes.

Only done it a couple times but easier and quicker than cannabis for me. I do it the same way you said, take a small vut from the bottom, powdered homrmone, peat pellet, and a dome, ive rooted them in 6 days under 12/12.

from my experience tomato cuttings are very easy to root. i just put mine in a cup of water like you are doing. you should be good to go.

In the past we've simply pulled off branches and stuck them into a damp pot of compost in the greenhouse and they have rooted. These plants gave less fruits.

Hope this helps
