Ten Miles To Nowhere
There’s a one lane gravel road cutting into my feet
The Sun is in my eyes, My shirts soaked from the heat
I look up the road and I see a sign
“Ten Miles to Nowhere”
But I’m making good time.
You see, I’ve been gone from home three months maybe four,
I haven’t been eating so well, and I don’t remember anymore.
I told everyone; “It’s my head I have to find”
And here it is…..Ten Miles From Nowhere,
Deaf, Dumb and Blind.
What in Gods name possessed me to go?
I feel like 10 kinds of fools, and not one of them knows,
What in the Hell I am doing out here on this road I’m headed for nowhere…..
And I’ve got Ten miles to go
