Hi all,
Im looking for a reliable electronic ballast that can fire my 400w MH bullb for veg and 600w/1000w for flo. Problem is all dimmable ballasts are 600/750/1000 now a days. I know Lumatek used to make them but switched to the 600/750/1000 standard now.
My next question is, If my dimmable ballast is rated at 1000w and I set it to 60% and put a 600w bulb. will the spectrum/lumen/par/etc. differ from a 600w ballast with a 600w bulb?
thx

You can find tons of used ballasts that should be able to do this.

As far as I know there should be no difference in spectrum between a 600w bulb on a 600w ballast or 1000w ballast set to 600w.

My 1000w Solis-tek 120v ballast does 400, 600, and 1000. I think the 240v ones typically have the 600, 750, 1000w settings but I could be wrong.

I have two 600W Ace Digital Ballasts with 50%, 75% and 100% options.

So I guess that could be seen as 300W, 450W and 600W light with the same ballast.
