Anyone have Data sheets they made and use to evaluate seeds, plants, clones, veg or flowering, male or female? If you do please post them. Post a few and I will post a few of my data forms.

Here's a simple template i wrote in the past, shared with vibes collective for landrace and IBL documentation. It can be more complex but i think it's a good start.

Sorry for any mistake. Original template was written in spanish.

Origin

* name of the landrace:
* Country:
* Region:
* Climate :
* Traditional uses with the plant : Relationship with humans
* Ancestors : history and roots of the genetics.
* Classification : indica, sativa, rudelaris. Wild or domesticated.

Traits of the seeds. Germination

* weight of the seed :
* size of the seed :
* appearance of the seed: shape,colour and mottled.
* germination : Time of germination. Best conditions for germination.

Growing traits

* Appearance: general description of the plant in vegging
* Vigour :
* Pigmentation:
* Branching :
* Leaf traits :
* Growing requeriments: Feeding requeriments, humidity, temperature,ventilation, best kind of soil etc ..
* Phenotypical diferences in growing traits : Differences that could show the different phenos in the strain while growing.
* Aroma during vegging :

Flowering traits

*minium of time to reach sexual maturity:
* critical photoperiod : Aproximate minium photoperiod to induce flowering
* General description of the flowering: flower distribution in the plant, different stages of flowering, general description of appearance,size and density.
* Flowering time :
* Flower/leaf ratio :
* ovary description:
* pistil description:
* male flower description :
* aromas :
* resin production : how, when and where the resin and trichomes are concentrated
* Flowering requeriments :Humidity, feeding and ventilation conditions in each stage of the flowering .
* Porcentage and kind of hermaphrodistism :
* Phenotypical differences in the flowering :
* Autoflowering: Yes/No

Finished product

* Curing : best conditions of curing and minium of time to start to show good atributes
* Appearance: shape, colour ,density of cured buds.
* Aroma :
* Smoke: colour and aroma of the smoke.
* Taste :
* Potency :
* Kind of high:
* Tolerance :

Adaptability Observations

* to indoor growing:
* to different climates and latitudes :

Breeding and preservation observations

* General positive traits to maintain in preservation and breeding
* General negative traits to try to avoid in breeding
* dominant/recessive traits in the outcrossing/hybridation:
* stage of preservation : last year of reproduction. Number of generations from the original seeds

I usually scribble notes in a notebook. Never gathered data like that except with the reflectors Im testing. Thanks for the info definately more professional than just scribbled notes

Thanks SamS, any chance of seeing the male evaluation forms? I made printouts based on the traits in RCC's Marijuana Botany but lost the digital copy unfortunately. Much respect to you!

You could just photo copy the sheet and post the image on here, and someone else could do the typing.

with regards to purple stem column.... personally i disreguard purple stems (especially at an early stage) as for me they are usually a result of sun burn on the plant...

great stuff though.. i will dig out some excel forms

of course this is just a beginning but i shall be taking notes and applying your techniques as well. just started to learn excel this month. i dont see the benefit yet except good note taking. but as i learn im sure a good catalogue system can be created.
