Under The Bodhi Trees

It just turned day 40 in the flower room, things are starting to get interesting so I thought I would share this grow with bud lovers out there.
I started from scratch with this grow and got genetics from breeder Bodhi. Goji OG, Super Snow Lotus and Sunshine Daydream are up first.

Hello tri-foliar Super Snow Lotus!

I also popped some old seeds that I did not dare to keep in the fridge for much longer. JLP's SDOGS (Sour Diesel IBL X OG Kush (https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?threadid=101420) from 2007-2008, old Bogglegums and a Purple Bastard X Bogglegum F2 cross made by Core called Misfit (https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=107017). I also popped some ICE seeds from 2004, and even though a few of them germed, they soon stalled and withered, as if staying in my fridge for a decade sucked the life force out of them.

Under the Neon Sun...

The vegging was a bit rough. The Bodhi genetics were all new to me and they didn't all dial in to my standard nutrient mix, a customized recipe of GH 3 part with various additives that I run in my recycled coco medium. So there were a few burns and also a few hogging for more food. In mid veg a support beam snapped and three racks of 110w neons crashed down on the plants. The Sunshine Daydreams were hit the worst and it really took the gust out of them. Now in mid flower I see how much smaller and less developed they are than the Goji OGs.

Just for once I got the FIMming right!

What to say about these genetics so far? I'm satisfied with growth and bud production, and there's some lovely smells in there. I've got a Goji OG that smells of coffee beans when I rub her leaves, I hope she'll hang on to that trait.

With a month or more to go, I'm already running the essential oil diffuser and the grow room and its surroundings reek of lavender. A couple of Ona gel buckets are waiting in a corner that I'll break out when the plants go really stinky, and of course the scrubbers if the spring heat comes early.

A Goji OG day 41 in flower. She's about 5 feet tall and does not like to stay under the batwings. Here's what Bodhi the man says about the Goji OG:

Over the years ive worked on various og kush projects, some interesting plants have come through, but never the total package. This last year ive been testing a very special og hybrid called goji og, named after the bright red sour himalayan berry. This hybrid has excelled indoors and out and is truly the total package, incredible full on og aroma and taste with an undercurrent of red berries, black cherry, hawiian punch, licorice, and alpine strawberries.

One of the biggest yeilding ogs ive ever run that still maintain the effect, aroma, taste, and resin content of a true og. Improved stature, no more floppy stems, or insane staking required... Grows like an indica hybrid. The few people i have let run her, are dropping everything to pack their rooms with her. the cut i run was found from the first round of three seeds, when i saw the potential i ran a bunch more seeds outside to get a better look. The cross is a combination of my snow lotus male, which is very clear in breeding, i think thats how the magic happened, just passing the size, power and resin over while keeping all the qualities of the og kush. The mother is nepali og aka nepali kush, an old og kush from grass valley that is closest in appearance to the tahoe, the buy in for this cut in the mid 2000's was 20 grand... lol... I dont know if any cut is worth that much, but it is a very nice og...

Theres two main phenos in the goji og line a big yeilding og smelling totem pole maker of infinite delight, and a smaller strawberry pheno that looks like a super frosty og, but has the super narco high of the snowlotus. The big og smelling pheno shows up about 3 times in one pack of seeds. f2'ing this line opens up a really cool genetic treasure chest, with pure purple stemmed snow lotus phenos, strawberry wands, and nepali og dom girls. Im really excited and proud to offer this to the community... enjoy... and many blessings on your grows.

I germed 6 Gojis, got 6 females, and it seems they're all the big yeilding OG smelling totem pole maker of infinite delight pheno, because there's no strawberry smelling midgets in there... these are tall-legged women!

Damn those are some serious colas. I've got 7 Goji OG's on deck in veg and had 2 in flower but now only 1 because of grower error, a light leak. She was the totem poll pheno like yours what a heart breaker it was to hafta pull her. Plenty more to look forward too. Nice job

Good to see you back at it man... I loved your Blockhead grow!

Thanks Mo! Yeah what a wild plant, Blockhead. It would be fun to test Bodhi's Blockhead to see how it compares to mine...

Beat that!

Yeah, it's always sold out, since way back. You have to be at exactly the right place at the right time to get it.

That said, with Kosher Kush, Tahoe OG, Holy Grail Kush and Skywalker OG in your garden you're pretty well covered in the OG sector. No need to lie sleepless in bed at night wondering what you're missing out on...

You mean she hermied? I've been checking but haven't come across as much as a nanner so far on either the Goji OGs, Super Snow Lotus' or Sunshine Daydreams...

Nice work Rosy! Any pics of the Sunshine Daydreams?

Here you go! She's a rather leafy plant, a bit traumatized since the hood accident in veg, but she's putting on weight now and seems pretty happy in life,

Did Bodhi say Sunshine Daydream was his most potent cross, or his most potent chem cross? Whatever, it sounds promising...

looking great in here. i'm watching this for sure!

if you can tell, how does the yield look on the goji compared to the others?

Those are your own f2s Rosy?

Yes. An F3 to the left and a F2 on the right. I went to F5s with this genetics and consider the F3 and F4 generations the best... kind of like the Star Trek generations

Nice blockhead, best weed ever RC bro ;)

A champ amigo!

I have to retract what I said about the Gojis, I did find a nanner in a Goji bud yesterday, so it needs some attention.

I also need to add that I have a second Sunshine Daydream pheno that grows differently to the one I described. It's tall, lanky, average to low yield with tight, pointy buds. The floppy stem factor makes it hard to photograph these plants.

if you can tell, how does the yield look on the goji compared to the others?

If you classify yield in low, medium, good and high, I'd say the best Goji phenos deliver good yield and the less deliver medium. The best Gojis will deliver more than the lanky SD phenos but less that the short SD pheno. The Super Snow Lotus is just a beautiful plant, and the Skunk genetics gives it a full body bud coverage all along the stems, not just the tops. Since I work with both horizontal and vertical lighting it gives me the possibility to cover the whole plant, it literally explodes in a bud fest. Reasonably it will top all the others.
The Bogglegums and Misfits are humming along and will be ready in 2-3 weeks. The SDOGs are all the short OG pheno. It's short, sticky and not grown for yield. The bigger Sour Diesel pheno is an ugly plant but it does deliver and with quality.

That said, there's at least three weeks of growth left and some plants put on a lot of weight late in flower, we'll just have to see.

I picked up this purple broccoli from my organic veggie dealer, about the same kilo prize as crack. I'm thinking about vaporizing it with some onions...

I just pulled down ssdd and Love Dawg and all I can say is that I wish I would of used his genetics years ago.

Day 50 in flower, things are getting serious. The terpenes are floating through the air, and every time I brush against a cola, an oily film sticks to my skin.

The fat plant in the middle is my favorite Super Snow Lotus. Favorite because she was topped once in veg like the others, but somehow she refused to grow like a bush and went Christmas tree anyway. The Gojis have floppier stems and are all leaning against the wall, The SSLs are sturdier, but now they start to lean because of the weight...
