RO Advice & Help

I'm about to purchase my first RO system. and this also means now calcium and magnesium are critical steps when adding nutrients and minerals back to my water.
I'm a scientist by training so I love experimenting and I want to experiment with remineralizing my RO water.

Yes, we all know cal-mag is the industry standard.
BUT
there's always more than one way to skin a cat. Personally, I would like to find a way to add isolated calcium & magnesium to my lineup. rather a powder-like gypsum or calcium carbonate or concentrated liquids that are sold as supplements.

SO said all that to Ask, if anyone has already done this, and if so what are some good products to begin playing with.
