My SIP - think it’ll work?

Wondering if anyone sees any reason why this won’t work or maybe how to improve.

I’m growing indoor in soil under 600watt mh in a 5x5 tent. I just bought some fabric pots and made a simple sip.

The container is a 10 gallon tote, with a cinder block in the middle. Cinder block is filled with lava rock, and the fabric pot is placed on top of lava rock. The pictures here show it well. I’m not real sure if the cinder block is a good idea or not, but so far have not thought of anything better to use.

Thoughts?..

Ought to be fine

This ought to work ok as long as the cinder block never absorbed anything gross. If it's fresh, it should make good capillary contact with the bottom of the grow bag, together with the lava stones, and pipe some water up there.

How's it working out?
