Black strap molasses used to increase yield?

All of the bottled organic nutes I've seen are molasses based.I very rarely use it these days and wont use it at all in last 4 weeks of flower as find it impairs the taste too much if used after that.It always left a sulphur taste to buds that I don't get since stopping it
