Chasing The Present
Geisha (75% Gambian 25% SE Asian) - there’s variation in flower size & potency in these but all similar, same terps & extremely dank, beautiful African terps dominate with a hint of the SE Asian in background

One good sign for pure or near pure Sativas is little to no trichomes on the fan leafs, easy thing to watch for in your own rooms etc - this Gambian male is making everything foxtail & wheat up but also with pointy old school SE Asian Calyx, one of these is FAST & Done but seeds ripening…

Were gonna be putting out a Cuban Black Haze Bx in the coming months. Wanted to share some pictures of the mother selections...

I'm calling it the Cuban Blood Haze - CBH S2 X [CBH S4 'Blood sap' X Sawa]

Our CBH S2s were created by our good friend and true OG Kushyman, using S1s made by @thelonetree_ (IG) from the original Cuban Black Haze clone aka The Black aka La Negra. This is the original clone predominantly grown in Florida by Cuban/Dominican gangs, with a flowering time of 14-16 weeks.

CBH S2 'Hyp3rids' selection seeded up at 5 weeks flower

CBH S2 Selection 3 'Montana'

Our third CBH S2 selection, one we are calling the ‘Montana’ pheno. We named it that because it’s HHUUGGEEEEE, and our favourite fictional Cuban legend, Tony Montana. I’ve seen this pheno a number of times, she flowers the longest, has the fastest growth, but stretches the most too. If you grow outside, this is your girl. Inside, you’re going to have to top unless you have masses of head room.

Picture 1 has a circle at the bottom of frame where you’ll see where I topped her at node 6, just as she was going into 12/12. Everything above that is stretch. We didn’t use any training other than that one top, and her branches grew into a perfectly even canopy. I must admit I was pretty happy about that…lol.

She smells a lot like the ‘pure haze’ pheno, but nowhere near as loud as our number one girl.

CBH S2 Selection 'El Squato'

Our fourth and final CBH S2 selection, one we are calling the ‘El Squato’. We named her that because she’s a third of the size of the other pheno’s. She share’s a similar set of traits as her big sisters but bushes out rather than up. She has broader doubled serrated leaves that cover most of her, so defoliate at your leisure. She has a loud aroma like pheno 1, and flowered a lot quicker than the other girls. The sativa pheno’s all go the full 15 weeks on average. This girl met her end at 12.

There are no mutants or hermies in your selected line? Looks like frost on those fans. Not sure if I ever saw fan-leaf frost on any African grown. I'm interested.

it is not my line, I grow it for first time. and I got a lot of mutants which stopped to grow and some hermies in nonmutant females.. I popped 30 seeds or so.

I would say there is some confusion about south african varieties still... it is not tropical cultivar like malawi gold or congo. South Africa has subtropical climate...

"The climate of South Africa is determined by South Africa's situation between 22°S and 35°S, in the Southern Hemisphere's subtropical zone, and its location between two oceans, Atlantic and the Indian. It has a smaller variety of climates than most other countries in sub-Saharan Africa, and it has lower average temperatures than other countries within this range of latitude, like Australia, because much of the interior of South Africa is at a higher elevation."

Cuban Black Haze S2 Pheno #4 // El Squato Selection

Note: Our CBH S2s were created by our good friend and true OG Kushyman, using S1s made by @thelonetree_ (IG) from the original Cuban Black Haze clone aka The Black aka La Negra. This is the original clone predominantly grown in Florida by Cuban/Dominican gangs, with a flowering time of 14-16 weeks.

An update on our fourth and final CBH S2 selection, one we are calling the ‘El Squato’. We named her that because she’s a third of the size of the other pheno’s.

This is her again at 7 full weeks of flower. Her resin count is already through the roof unlike the other 3 phenos that are just getting going. Aroma is amazing, sweet incense / honey. Stems and leaves are starting to go purple. She’s a joy to look at.

We will be sharing more flowering shots in the weeks ahead as we literally have 100s of shots to go through. We appreciate your patience…
