It is time to really spread wings.

Over the early spring 6 locations were chosen and prepared. One of them had to be abandoned due to wild boar overpopulation, leaving us with 5 spots:

#1 Old Spot

Our oldest spot. Quite sketchy- close to human settlements- but somehow we always menage to pull good stuff out of there.

5x Lemon Shaman x EDDG
2x Polish Out Mix X EDDG

This years lineup:

#3 "LEMON FIELD"
New spot. Also not the safest location but the soil makes up for it. The best natural, outdoor soil ever. Let's just say that nettles around there grow like hell and every dig of a shovel results in cut-into-half earthworms.
It is an experimental See Of Green spot. We've planted our own seeds from last year (Lemon Shaman x EDDG [auto male] ), directly into soil, and hope to select best phenos for further breeding. Currently 35 plants.

#4 "AMBO"

We had great hopes about this spot. We've been watching it since last fall and no humans were detected. In march we prepared spot for several plants. After planting first two seedlings, to our horror, a 'hunting tower' was set up nearby. For obvious safety reasons spot has been avoided by us until just recently. We found out that one plant has survived . We do not plan on planting any more plants there and we hope this one will not be discovered.

#5 "PEARS"

Last but not least:

Best discovery this year. Totally hidden, unaccessible spot with almost unlimited space. Honestly, like 0,5 ha of 'private' space :woohoo:

We went wild:

Five separate holes, filled with top quality soil, hosting our best genetics, absolutely protected by impenetrable anti-animal fences. Supplemented with first class anti-ant and anti-snail/snug devices.
With full 'morning to evening' sun operation it is our best and biggest spot ever.

Lineup:
10x (ChemdogDD x BBJ) x EDDG aka PIES
9 x Polish Out Mix x Lemon Shaman
4 x ACED Erdpurt f2
3 x NL Haze f2 (garlic pheno)
2x Marley Berry x ACED Black Erdpurt
~50 (PB x LR) x (O x LR)

A friend had an NL x Haze pheno a few years ago that smelled of black pepper and cooking herbs, should be something similar to your garlic pheno :) It had a very pleasant high with fresh lively mind and calmed body.

Good luck and greetings from Bulgaria! :)

Good luck lob19! Many plants, lot of nice spots. I will be stopping by. Can you share any pics of 0,5ha private space? What's your plans about it?

We've found this spot quite late into season and only managed to prepare these 5 patches. Two biggest ones are about 2m x 1m and smaller ones about 1m x 1m

It would be difficult to capture whole place in one shot. This is a smaller part. All around scenery is similar.

For now it is as it is but next year we plan to go bigger on this spot if everything goes well.

What a great spot, looks like a lot of potential there.
Howcome you group them up like that?
Is it because, it makes fencing easier? With the wildlife and all?

Good luck to you and your friends.

Howcome you group them up like that?
Is it because, it makes fencing easier? With the wildlife and all?

There are couple of reasons.

First of all we've had good results growing like this. Especially last year. And we saw our friends growing in similar conditions but making many separate, small holes for single plants. They had much smaller yield than we did from the same amount of plants.
Grouping also means we have less work (but it is still quite a lot) preparing patches. Apart from the "Lemon Field" spot, digging holes in our spots require digging about 30cm deep to get rid of very dense grass and its roots. It is just easier to dig couple of bigger patches instead of dozens of smaller ones. And yes, it also makes it easier to protect from wildlife which is quite active around our spots (wild boars especially)
It also makes watering and fertilizing* easier and more efficient as there are no other plants growing near our beloved, so they get all the good stuff.
As You may have noticed we also care about pulling out weeds and plants that could shadow ours. We try to keep spots as aesthetic as we can, we believe that cannabis grows best in aesthetical conditions :)
The last reason is the fact that we use regular seeds, so about 50% of what you see now will be gone in a month or so. Some of the seeds are gifts from other growers :tiphat: some of them are our own crosses. In that latter case we try to have as many plants going as possible to select best phenos for further breeding.

This year's top interest breeders will be (ChemdogDD x BBJ) x EDDG and Lemon Shaman x EDDG. The EDDG male we used for pollinating was AF so now we are getting some AF plants too. We would like to come up with full AF cross between these two in future.

* for fertilizing we use GHE Flora Series and Bio Boosters

We will try to upload new photos on a regular basis. We have 5 spots, each is visited weekly, but not in one run. So there should be 2-3 photo updates every week. (if we manage to write 384 posts to obtain bigger picture limit :D )

Thanks everyone for good wishes :thank you:
