My pleasure to follow your grow diaries El Quijote. If big sized plants in pots start to lose color since early flowering, then also feed them with growing fertilizer with nitrogen until they get that desirable green healthy color. To maximize yield, it is important that plants do not show deficiencies during first 2/3 thirds of flowering.

Hi El quijote, The Panama x Bangi Haze is really progressing nicely now in flowering. It is a very vigorous and high yielding F1 so it is normal that Panama x Bangi Haze gets bigger and fatter than straight inbred Bangi Haze. Panama x Bangi Haze usually asks for lots of food from now onwards (for at least 5-6 weeks more). The pink pistil is a distinctive Panama trait, and although Panama Goddess used in this F1 is not one of the pinkest Panama parental females that we use, her offspring may occasionally show it.

Beautiful GET MO ;) Glad your Panama x Bangi Haze is showing the pink pistil!

Week 12 day 4 of flowering. Impressive level of resin and many pistils have gone brown. Pistils have yet to retract however.. I'm assuming it has maybe 7-10 days left but it looks very resinous as is.

Ignore the weird scrog setup, it's just supporting my Malawis at this point...

Great development El Quijote. She is showing lots of influence from Panama Goddess mother regarding vigor, look, flowering traits, and from what you described terpenes too (lemony-incensey), but with a shorter structure. Give her plenty of food at this stage because she is really going to need it, and be careful with worms.

Looks ripe enough Subu try to make a good flush before harvest.

Hey Dubi - yep I already started flushing it about 4-7 days ago.

I don't quite understand your approach to harvesting as it seems to contradict the guides out there? I thought it's never a good idea to harvest before we have significant pistil retraction? In any case I think if I end up leaving this another week or so, it's not going to get excessively amber as it seems as per my other plants they keep producing new white pistils and developing further trichomes.

I saw your thread on one of the rare ace strains and people commented on you harvesting quite early (which I agreed with) but I trust you have informed your approach through experience and data seen in lab tests?

I guess I'll just follow the trichomes and ignore pistil retraction. The PxB is nearly done, I think I'll harvest it in under a week now

Subu sorry if was not enough descriptive, i was trying to say that overall the plant looks ripe enough to start flushing for 10-14 days and then harvest. Take in consideration, unfortunately i cannot reply on time every question on the forums. My evaluation is limited from the screen, i cannot smell your plant neither i can see the buds closely or appreciate in detail how was its evolution until now. Closer pics of the most representative buds and detailed description of the evolution of the terps and their intensity would help in case you need a more detailed evaluation from my part.

Week 13 Day 1 of Flowering

Fair enough dubi I wasn't really thinking straight when I added that reply 😔

One of the colas is almost entirely covered in amber pistils and looking through a 60x magnifier a moment ago, there are a few amber trichomes. I will harvest it perhaps in the next 2 days. Some of the lower colas look like they have a too few many while pistils still but the entire plant is very resinous and even these lower buds have mostly cloudy trichomes now.
