If you thought the "Recovery" was Bad, just Wait for the next Official Recession

Saw this article today about the Homeless situation in Butte County BEFORE the Paradise fire.
Very serious, very difficult, for a lot of people.
Now obviously Much, Much Worse.
This is during a period of so-called "Economic Expansion".
So what happens the next time the economy officially contracts ?
I know there are tent-cities all over the place, although these days it's often people staying in their cars.
I see it at the local Walmart, which allows people to park their RV's, vans, etc for a few days. There's usually 20 to 30 vehicles parked there. Everybody keeps a low profile.
Would be great if they let the children play soccer in the parking lot or something, but I guess that goes against keeping a low profile.
