Spleefman's Remodeled, Retooled, Reloaded Room

Well, my room had been running for a long, long, long, time. Years. It is 24 feet long, 10.5 feet wide, and was running 12 x 1000 watts HPS in Radiant 8 Hoods......... over the years I'd had DWC, done a U.C., and at th e end, Coco Drain to Waste.... but at some point, drywall gets moldy, fittings are clogged, insultation is damp, things deteriorate. So, time for a remodel!

This is my old room.....

We started by tearing out all the drywall and insulation, peeled everything out of the room, down to the studs....

And then put R-13 in the Walls, and R-23 in the ceilings, and covered all with 7/16" plywood.........

Insulation is one of my least favorite things. I had some construction guys I know do most of the buildout. I am not much of a carpenter!

Hey, is that 10 Raptors I see? Those would fit perfect where I used to have those 12 Radiant 8s.....

IMG-20120908-00240.jpg

We painted the whole room white, with Behr Paint and Primer in one, the shit is expensive, but supposedly better than Kilz... I dunno, I promptly covered it in Panda Film, anyway!

IMG-20120912-00250.jpg

We installed a raised floor, with plumbing for a drain in the floor...

IMG-20120915-00263.jpg

Drainage KICKS ASS!

IMG-20120915-00261.jpg

Drilled 10 holes, because we're gonna have 10 trays, 4 x 4s....

IMG-20120915-00262.jpg

Man, I must have used a ruler or some kind of shit, because the drains of the trays fit perfect in the holes I drilled in the floor!

We're going to need to ventilate those hoods, they are big, and will have a lot of heat.... better build a little manifold and cap it with some dust shrooms....

I am really excited about these new hoods, I have a friend who's been hitting 2 llbs per light with these hoods.....

This room is going to be irrigated, like my old room.

Let's start with a 300 gal res.......

Of course anytime I install a sprinkler pump, it leaks, what is up with that?

IMG-20121003-00268.jpg

Sprinkler Controller runs the pump and the sprinkler valve at THE SAME TIME.......

Feed lines in action in the old room... this is what we'll be doing in here.....

Okay, so, the trays fit, the drainage works, the lights are hung, the ventilation is connected, everything has fallen into place, and I loaded the room, and oh, by the way, lets do a double SCROG over the whole room..........

McFly on the left, Chem 4 on the right......

I think this was about a week into 12/12, I took these..

wow.. excellent set up. I love watching people tear down and rebuild their rooms, it helps me plan ahead so often. Keep it up, all I can see in there is fire.
