Why so few women in these threads?

It occurred to me while reading through the forums today, how few women seem to be posting into this place? Why do you suppose that is? Men are more drawn to horticultural pursuits? To cannabis per se?
Blokey ambience putting them off? They prefer to stay quiet about their growing and interest in the plant? Too risky?

In the wider world, in my experience, this also seems to be the case. Most passion seems to be in the male side of the spectrum. Historically this also seems to be true. I cannot recall any women's names turning up in all the debates about who bred what and when? Anyone care to comment? Lj

Not sure about this forum or growing. When I was young and hanging with stoners, most were male. Not many hardcore stoners were female.

or it could be that most of the growers on the internet are actually women pretending to be men to keep thier identity secure.

Is it ,maybe, because women want to talk a bit more about, of the medicinal values of cannabis,knowing how different their hormones work, instead of just concentrating on the growing, breeding part, and,a bud that photographs good?

I would use the word obsession rather than passion - obsessive pursuit of hobbies in general seems to be more of a male thing.

Yes... fair comment I reckon. You'd have to say that mostly the way things roll in this place. Never the less, if there are a few women posters in the place, I can honestly say I've not picked up on it? A little female perspective would be welcome from my point of view. Perhaps they have some skills re picking put those killer males? Consider that an invitation ladies. Lj

Women are longer term planners. They're also much too busy running the home, kids, work, planning the next thing... to get obsessed about any one thing.

I know a couple ladies around these forums, but they're not many (I sincerely hope this is incorrect, you never know with all these nicks).
Met a bunch of ladies at the last cup in Barcelona,in the club we used. They were all dressed very elegantly for a night out on the city and were smoking huge spliffs and blunts and one was hitting a huge bong too. Great evening. Needless to say I fell in love that night ;-)

I'm curious though: why do you have a sexually based name and why are you asking sexually based questions on a cannabis growing forum? You know about internet porn right? You don't have to seek out random women on a cannabis forum.

I kind of feel like weed growing I general is very male dominated.

I know less women that smoke than men and really the women I know that smoke aren't really in to growing at all.

why would it matter if one was a female or male on an internet forum?

why would one want to disturb that anonymity?

what could be gained from the sexual identifiers?

does open identification, expose vulnerabilities, allow stereotypical profiling?

what's to be gained from open identification? by either party?
