Penalties for seeds?

Hey everyone,

My current position in life right now forces me to shut down my operation for a couple of years : ( However, I do have quite the seed collection and am wondering if the penalties for seed posession are serious if any? Is a seed considered a plant?

Do seeds + grow supplies (tent, ballast, hood, soil) = felony?

DEPENDS ON THE PROSECUTOR....AND THE JUDGE...MOST LIKELY NO PROBLEM...BUT IN THE WRONG SITUATION THEY CAN PROBABLY GET YOU FOR INTENT TO MANUFACTURE A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE...FIND A SAFE PLACE FOR IT TIL YOU CAN USE IT..DJ

I got a safe place for them in my coco cups lol. Get a small mason jar and pack them up with rice and put them in another mason jar that is plastic wrapped and dig a hole. Otherwise grab your wheelbarrel, put ur balls in it and move forward.

Honestly..I say seeds+equipment could mean a conspiracy or intent charge..depends if the cops want your ass or not..

there are only 2 seeds totally banned from ownership in the USA
cannabis
peyote

along with grow supplies, you are in for felony conspiracy etc.
If the DA is on his job, you'd be in some serious shit.

Find a storage unit or friends house were you can store the grow equipment and get a lock box for the seeds/or a really good hiding spot. That way they aren't together in the same place....

never trust a friend with your gold!!!
also keep those seed cold.
as long as you are not doing sketchy things why should the cops ever care about what you are doing.
eliminate the sketchy profile from your life and all will be cool
don't tell anyone you have gold ie...your seed.
if you have already talked, well loose lips sink ships.

Most people aren't smart enough to recognize the seeds as cannabis seeds. Label them as something else, store in kitchen and label as coriander blue dream, coriander kush, coriander OG, store in the fridge and label as advised, ect.

Put them in a pack of tomato seeds and store in the fridge.

I took a botany class in college and the hippie professor would walk us around the campus and tell us of all the plants that would F*ck you up more than Cannabis. Yet Cannabis is the chosen plant to be discriminated and outlawed. Makes no sense.

Thanks everyone! Sounds like it depends whether or not they really want to bust your ass... Over the years I have found that even the best of friends can't be trusted with some things. So I guess I will just pack up my gear good and tight. Just kinda worrysome when you have hundreds of beans

yeah but cops will find them REALLY interesting..along with all the boxes of "hydroponics lab equipment worth thousands of dollars"....they WILL charge you with conspiracy man...if your not growing for a few years..put the seeds AND equipment in a small temp controlled storage...or atleast the equipment..but dont keep the two things together at your house

put equipment in a cardboard box in attic or basement, put seeds somewhere safe in house where its cool, done, no cop gonna go thru yer shit unless ya got kiddie porn or something worse, but yes seeds is like possessing weed, so ya get charged with possesion if they want to be dicks, , dont drive around with seeds in car and yer golden. p

cops will go through ur shit until they are satisfied u dont have anything. police showed up 1 morning claiming i had 10 lbs of pot. shit was funny cause if it were true u woulda smelled it out of the shack i was staying in. either way they tore my place apart. took my grow light(which was a hps flood light at the time) and sandwich baggies i used for marijuana and bolts/nuts for cars that i worked on. also took a bullet proof vest and .8 grams of weed. didnt find my scale or 10lbs ha.

they tried to get me for manufacturing, maintaining a dwelling, maintaining a vehicle to distribute, possession, intent to distribute, and some more bullshit. ended up with a mis. possession charge. tried to give me 3 years probation. paid it off after a couple days and was off with not a visit hah!

I don't know what conditions led you to make this post or led to your decision and it is none of my business but I would think it's a big part to the answer you seek. If you are just way too paranoid as I can be at times, or giving it up or 2 years just for the hell of it or because of family (edit: except wife and kids thats a tougher call) or whatever, I'd say why worry? Who's going to know or find out? Seeds are small and can be easily hidden in something else in the fridge. Grow equipment could be for anything. If there is something sketchy like someone else said or you have already had run-ins or fear snitches or something like that, then you cannot be too careful and I'd at least keep seeds and equipment in seperate spots if possible. The other posters know way more than me about legal penalties. at any rate, stay safe man!
