Coco and auto irrigation smart bee?

Hi I am thinking about using blumats or purchasing the automatic irrigation smart bee I am wondering how the system is hooked up so that each sensor waters correctly like the blumats. Does each sensor have to have its own solenoid? I am currently running g dosatrons just would like to make the moisture content perfect. If anyone has any experience with this please let me know thank you!

irrigation sensors --> gateway --> 24v relay --> valve for each irrigation zone

quite expensive if you ask me...

can be done in diy for a lot cheaper, with mycodo software on a raspi + a few chirp sensors connected via l2c and a set of relays
