how many ceramic 315's in a 4*8?

I have a few in 3*3 tents and i love them. I currently have 3 600 watts in my 4*8.

I am thinking about putting 4 315 watt ceramics in there instead.

my thoughts are that these lights are 18*22 inches so they will fit and ideal in a 3*3
3*3=9
4*8=32
32/3=10.6
32/4=8

that looks to me like 4 would only be better if i could exchange enough air.

Or is this complete overkill?

I think that (4) in a 4x8 would work great, with the possible problem of trying to get even light distribution.

I use a single 315 in a 30"x30" tent, and (2) 315s in a 4x4, and both work very well.

How do you plan on arranging the plants? Do you have a plumbed system that re-arrangement would be a PITA?

Are you about production per sq. ft., or Per watt?

I'm assuming that you don't have plant count issues at all,... LOL

I'm not a 'production' grower, so my thoughts would perhaps be different. Rives does seem to have played with these a lot, so I'd certainly pay attention to his thoughts. I know I am.

In my situation,,,, I'm about cost per gram and how many grams do I want to produce. But then, I also have issues with numbers....

Perhaps that's a good thing, without constraints I could get really carried away......

Let's see..... How could I arrange 14'x30'? LMAO.... And... a 14'x16'?
I can see it now, plumbing would be a bitch. :woohoo:
