Gonna attach the top end of the chain to a hook screw on to a wooden board.

The bottom end of the chain is not so easy.

The light panel got a semi circle "thing" on which to attach chain/ wire.

Look at da pic, best I could scribble on my phone.

There's

Top hook
Chain
Semi circle loop.

And to the left my idea - a buckle / rope belt which u can attach to the chain And the light.

Any other ideas??

I could use a metal wire too, to connect lowest chain link with the semi loop :chin:

Hardware stores sell chain links that have a threaded piece that lets you open and close the link. That''s what I use. Called "quick links". Come in all sizes.

I've also used turnbuckles for units with the LEDs that are fixed. Turnbuckles allow you to level the unit.
