Growing grass

I was cleaning out my kitchen and came across a bag of wheat seeds (dunno what kind. maybe hardwinter rye berries ..?).

I soaked them and then placed them into potting soil, and 2 days later I have a mini lawn in a pot. Cool. They grow fast and thick, and they generally look and smell good (IMO). The cats love them.

I'm not sure how to initiate flowering .. ? do they autoflower? I have them under MH (away from the other plants) 24h

I'm pretty sure that wheat crops are not photosensitive in regards to flowering. I believe that if climatic conditions are good, farmers can usually get two or three harvests of wheat per season. I think the plant just flowers as soon as it's mature/big enough to do so.
