The weather remains pretty good. Lots of warm sushine in the day (15-17c) but down to 3 or 4c at night. Most afternoons the wind gets up and is real icey as it blows over the snowed out Sierra.

She's no longer putting up new pistalls. I'm thinkig of letting her go aother 2 weeks, providing the weather remains good. The sample that i took last weekend is stronger still (as you'd expect) and despite my having several other better dried, but not yet curred weeds that are less harsh to smoke, i was happy smoking it all day yesterday and even made a little Rosin from it!. Today i'm back to my regular day time weed (New Caledonia).

Hello El Quijote, I am very sorry for the loss of the main cola due to bad weather. You are really having a year of heavy rains, hail and winds, a season to test the resistance of the genetics. Try to protect your Super Malawi Haze from the strong direct wind as much as you can to prevent the pistils from burning, and place her in a place that receives as much direct light as possible, although at this time of year I understand it depends a lot on the orientation of your terrace.

You have been non stop harvesting Haze hybrids for the last 2 weeks Ur Humbl Nr8tor :D So happy for you!

Looking great facing her last stage of flowering Hombre del mont!
:yummy: Frankincense and liver mmmmmm i have big hopes about your pheno friend

All the best with your Super Malawi Haze this season Pédetoddy ;)

The weather remains pretty good. Most days we're getting 20c or thereabouts and the night time temps have risen slightly and we've had no more frosts. The wind is a nightmare at times but the screen supports the colas enough to prevent them getting serriously damaged.

She's a bit battered by the wind but otherwise is good. No mold and hardly any catapillar damage this year. Some of the trichs have been damaged but there is a good amount of amber. The test branches that I've been taking and drying to smokeable in 5 days, are awesome. Once this is curred, it will be something special.

I'll be back at some point with a smoke report.

Hasta luego

Enhorabuena...

Congratulations ... I'm thinking of putting a pair next year, yours is gorgeous.
If you remember, next year, sprinkle the soil under the plants with diatomaceous earth well, the insects avoid walking over it, if you do not have ants it is easy that you do not have aphids.
I hope you enjoy it.

Hi guys, I’m planning to start a feminized super malawi haze in the near future, and I’m wondering if you guys have any tips for growing this strain indoors in coco?

Obviously it’s going to be tricky to control, so I’d like to try a scrog to spread it out across my 2x4ft. tent during veg and the stretch. I’m thinking that sticking to a short (one month?) veg, and a 1.5 gallon pot might be smart.

Dubi recommends high levels of nutrients throughout the whole cycle, does anyone have an EC that they’ve used successfully in the past?

I'm looking forward to growing an ace strain, all the plants you guys post look great. Any tips of bits of information are appreciated, thanks.

A 1.5 gallon pot sounds quite small for a 2x4ft scrog, even with coco. The yield would probably take a hit. And you'll need to be watering often unless you have some kind of automated system - maybe even a couple times a day during some weeks. Or were you planning many pots under the same screen?

Great plan otherwise though!

High levels of nutrition for an ACE sativa is probably similar to levels you'd give to "typical" hybrids.

I have a simple automated setup, I'm planning to water the plant 4-5 times a day at peak growth. A bigger pot does sound like a good idea though, I can't imagine it would hurt anything and I could potentially water less frequently. I'll stick to an EC somewhere around 1.6 and see how that goes. Do you usually use full strength nutrients right off the bat, or do you ramp up to it in the first few weeks of growth?

Thanks for the help!
