Regime change by Tweet (Venezuela)

it's getting really disgusting how arrogant the US behaves in the world. imagine declaring some nobody who wasn't elected to be the president of another nation. it's unprecedented even for the US. not enough, they have declared that they will steal Venezuelan assets and hand them to their chosen sock puppet Guido. the Bank of England has also declared that the 30 tons of Venezuelan gold will be given to the opposition leader.

no matter what you think of Venezuela, this shit is getting ridiculous. what gives them the right to just meddle every where there are large oil reserves? when will the world wake up and stop colluding with this disgraceful regime change piracy. Bolton is openly saying how great it wil be for the US economy and jobs when they get their hands on the Venezuelan oil resources. after years and years of economic sanctions, we now see the US plans to steal Venezuela's oil. Trump realized IRaqi and Syrian oil was hard to keep, so now it's Venezuela's turn to be raped by a US sock puppet regime.

A fan of Sam Clemens prior to finding out he had opposed the Munroe Doctrine.
I became more dedicated when I found out what extent he had done so.
What has been done in many places, is never acknowledged.
182 countries, many repeatedly.

Isn't this similar to the money given to Iran? The money belonged to the Shaw, not the Mullahs.

I am not 100% informed about Venuzuela. From what I am reading both parties are supporting regime change. (minus the new extremist parts of the Democratic party)

You don't think a free election is important?

I have no problem with the money going to the people. Not to a murderous Dicktattor. The people are starving due to ignorant socialist policies. It's quite common to have famine with socialism/communism.

i don't care if the whole world say it's a good idea, i still don't see by what right the US is declaring who will be president in another country. you say elections are important, so why declare a president who didnt win elections? they could say they don't recognize Maduro, but declaring the new president is just crazy and unprecedented. the Trump admin is declaring themselves to be the emporer of the whole world, with the power to declare, not only who they don't recognize, bad enough meddling, but to declare a president of another nation, is unbelievable and the fact that the 2 party war mongers are all backing this is just a sign that they are pulling a fast one. thats probably why they stopped the impeachment talks, they were quietly told what was up in Venezuela and how they were about to get the nations oil at pennies on the dollar. the stupid Brits and French and Germans all lined up to back this bullshit colonialist exploitive meddling. the whole thing is another neo colonialist rip off.

From a short reading on the subject, they followed the constitution Chavez installed. A new election is supposed to happen in 90 days, not 100% on the time table.

I am pretty sure the people of Venezuela, would rather try something different. Not hyperinflation, leading to massive famine.

Would you be so outraged if this happened to Donald Trump?

yes, i would. no one has the right to tell the US who it's president should be. we can say we don't like someone, but we can't declare a replacement and believe in sovereignty and freedom or even democracy. only the Venezuelans can decide who will be their president. certainly not Abrahams who had to be pardoned to avoid jail,or war walrus Bolton and Pompeo even lass.

I may be wrong, but you are claiming the Venuzuela people want Maduro. It doesn't seem that's likely.

i think you know that wasn't my position, i said clearly, a government can say they no longer recognize a countries president, but no one has the right to declared a new person as president without even holding a sham election.

this is taking us back to the Roman empire when they would decide who could be king in which client state.

truth is Bolton is on fox bragging about how they will take Venezuela's oil. this whole thing is an act of piracy and has nothing to do with the well being of the venezuelan people. like i said, they brought the old war criminal Abrams out of retirement for this heisst.

I think it's more about, ending the government control of industry and resources.

I agree countries should be sovereign. That being said someone needs to help the people of Venezuela. Venuzuela had the highest standard of living in South America , before Chavez. Now they are barely living. I find it absolutely disgusting that the far left are supporting famine and violence on a scale not seen in decades. All in the name of Democratic socialism. Socialism brings equality of suffering, except for politicians and their cronies. The rulers live like kings, citizens live a life most slaves would complain about.

I don't really believe the Venezuelan people, reelected a man who participated in the destruction of the nation. The Sham election already passed IMO.

Not attacking you Gaus, you should know better than that, my friend.

It was traditionally thought of as the ''right of might" by those who wielded it.
Morality was never an issue for those involved.

Some things never seem to change, others just plain get worse.

i was outraged, even back then. i'm sure i posted about it before. i'm consistently against regime change from outside a country, no exceptions. it never works out well, there is always way more suffering as a result then they are supposedly trying to stop. specially military regime change.

Qaddafi was a good leader, for the general public of Libya.

Qaddafi was a POS.

I guess he did some good for his people. North Africa is a pretty tough place.
